I'm hoping that this is the game where we give the opposition a right old thrashing - Wigan style. If they give us any sort of room we could win 5-0 or even more, if they do a Swansea and park the bus, it will be hard to win 1-0 as ever. I'm looking forward to seeing the team Poch picks, we might need a bit of Danny Rose pace to get behind them and possibly Aurier on the other side, but they both played on Tuesday. I'd like a bit of Son/Kane action again as well. The lads will be on a high after Dortmund...lets take that high and momentum into this game.
3pm on a Saturday afternoon, whatever next.....4-0 to Spurs.
These are the games we really should win. Losing one or two games away to top 6 teams is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, yeah we were all pissed off last week but as long as we repay them next year when they come to Wembley then it won't really matter, although it was in my opinion the worst loss we have had this season. The chavs and the United losses were close and we could just as easily have taken points, but last weekend, nah, it wasn't close and was a pain in the rectum. Dropping points to teams like WBA could cause us severe arseitch, so we must not do that.
It's probably bollocks but do you think our team had their Champions League goggles on last weekend? Would we have done better if Sissoko had been on the bench instead of Sonny? Should the reptile bloke you love and want to snog have started, would he have slithered around the pitch and made a difference? Maybe the aggression of the Surge would have made a difference, but in the heat of an NLD he might have done a Jujuman and got sent off. I read some numptyism on that shit-pile Twitter saying that the Dortmund lineup was the one we should have started against the scum, but they don't know like the Poch knows who is right, who is being a slithery gobby cunt and what the price of fish is.
Anyway, games like this are really important. OK, we will probably win the Champions League and qualify for next year's competition, but banking on that would be like what the cuntish Tories are doing at the moment (whoops, got a bit political there, I don't think anyone will notice) - our eggs need to be in at least 2 baskets.
