Wolves have gone 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League and they only lost 5 at home last season, this will a tough match. I don't think Chelsea will do us another favour this weekend, so I demand a good win!

Tough tough game, it was tough before we were shit so it wont be any better now.

Love their team ethic, love the way they always try and play but also do what is necessary to get themselves over the line. I think their gaffer is 100% one for the future as he conducts himself in a dignified and professional manner while obviously demanding the respect of his players. I like watching Wolves now.

I'd imagine they will score as most do against us and they are at home with the wind with them....

Time for our fully rested front line to do their job and outscored them yet again....

Love to see H notch a couple and Dele continue to chip in with the goals and assists...

Be buzzing with any win but a 3-2 is my prediction.

I think @Yid has it spot on.....everyone likes Wolves, but they are beatable as we have proved at their place in recent seasons. They are very well organised defensively and play on a quick counter, which our defence won't like very much. Harry, Dele and a few others have had their proverbial feet up for most of the week after the 5-0 thrashing of Burnley, so they should be raring to go and I would imagine that Maureen will demand another fast start. if it all comes together again and we can keep the back door mostly shut I think we'll win and something like 3-1. It's on Sunday btw, so you can put your Christmas tree and decs up on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho says his compatriot Nuno Espirito Santo deserves "more credit" for the job he is doing at Wolves.

"He’s getting some praise for the work he is doing. In my opinion not enough. Fantastic work," Mourinho said. "He is a much better manager than a player. I’m not saying he is a bad player, but he’s a much better manager.
"They're one of the best teams from a tactical point of view. His players are perfect for the puzzle. I think he is a top coach. You can’t be in the Premier League without being a top coach."

Mourinho has confirmed Erik Lamela will be out for two months with a clitoris problem, while fellow midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is set to be fit to play a part in the busy festive period following a groin injury.

Giovani Lo Celso will not start against Wolves and the Portuguese manager says he "doesn't know" when the on-loan Argentina international, 23, will reach his full potential.

Midfielder Harry Winks is back in training. The England midfielder missed Wednesday's 3-1 loss at Bayern Munich in the Champions League and last played in the league in the defeat at Manchester United on 4 December. Hugo Lloris (elbow), Michel Vorm (calf), Ben Davies (ankle) and Tanguy Ndombele (groin) all remain out as they continue their rehabilitation from injury.

Sigh. Poor guy.
Seems to be such a chronic issue with his genitalia.

But I fear their could be more to it that the Club isn't disclosing.
IIRC, he did have a child not too long ago. Could also be postpartum concerns which will complicate matters even further.

I’m getting quite cross with myself. I liked what I read about Maureen's comments when asked about Eriksen. He said he had a great relationship but he was keeping it private.

if anyone’s interested I’ve just watched a fascinating insight on his tactics for Inter against Barcelona in their 3-1 Champions League win a few years ago. It’s on You tube and Twitter something along the lines of Jose Mourinho masterclass and the game in question.

you’ll recognise some of the tactics - especially Serge Aurier’s new attacking role and the fast arrival of Son, Kane and Moura into the box.

I don’t know much about tactics so it was a brilliant insight. Enjoy!

if anyone can post the link please do so, thanks

I watched that or something like it too (it was just youtube autoplaying while i was doing something!!honest.

Yeah I`m not one for tactics, lineups, the manager chooses them, the players do what they do,I just watch,I dont get my panties in a twist (mostly).I dont think we have had tactically astute "genius" type since venables,he really did george graham in that "where`s your double gone" semi final. Some blokes set their stall out,we will play how we want and not worry about them, nothing wrong with that, thing is I feel we became predictable after 4-5 years doing the same thing. So teams just parked the bus,let us have it from the back,I guess Jose will have more mystery factor cos he shifts things around for different opponents.

Careful mate, they be calling you a fangirl soon!!

I spoke with my rotherham mate, told him how i was conflicted over jose,I was suprised he said "always liked him, entertaining to watch wins stuff....you`ll enjoy the ride".Got me thinking do i / we just hate him cos of the chelsea stuff?i dont/didnt think so,but maybe what he did with them fucks me off more than I realised??

What a fantastic win! Wolves unbeaten in 9 or so games, 1 loss in 18 and just the 1 win away from home for us since January, I was looking at a point being a really good result. Sounds like we rode our luck and got a proper bending over from Traore but all credit to the boys for sticking in there. Beat the Chavs next week and we’re in the top 4, utterly mental given where we were a month or so ago.

Isn’t football so fickle, I despised Mourinho, the manager and the man and now he has me wrapped round his little finger!!

Well we were second best and came away with all 3 points - sign of a good team. It’s about putting the pill in the old onion bag!!

Back to playing with full commitment for 95 minutes. Big win against a decent team, same again next week please. Fucking hate Chelsea.

I thought that if they reviewed the first one, he would have been given a pen.
Dunno if it was done.

Wolves are a very decent side.
Disciplined & creative.
They don't let you breathe much. Kinda like us a few years ago.

They hadn't lost in 11.
They out-possessed us but we defended very well.
Yet, up until the Adama goal, I felt we still had the better chances. Fewer chances but better ones.
More cutting edge.

Vertonghen was absolutely battered by Traore but showed up to score a quite brilliant winner.

Funny game this football.

Traore is a fucking beast.....

Exciting player to watch.

We won ugly and seemed to battle for 95 mins.

Good signs and I think that specific win and the way we won could definitely be a turning point...

Mouras goal was an insane hit.....

To beat a keeper like Patricio by shooting right at him says a lot about the velocity of Moura's hit.
Patricio couldn't react to it.

Good win and with that midfield I think the team did well to limit their chances to lower percentage ones and in terms of good chances created, I think it was a fairly even game. Even if it did feel like we were under siege at times, Jan and help from Son or Dier usually pushed Traore to go on the outside and then cross or cut back into areas well defended by the rest of the back four and Sissoko or Dier. We didn't really have another good option if Sessegnon isn't considered a defender at the moment (and maybe Traore beats him anyway, although maybe not as often). Their goal was a great goal but like Moura's and Jan's it wasn't one that get's scored that often. The chance that Dele set up for Dier was fantastic play.

Dier played really well. I have been critical for a while but he was a rock today, especially in helping out our CH's.

He looked more mobile and up to the pace of the game, which was arguably faster than a lot of other games we've played in recently.

Dier being good was becoming a hill I wasnt willing to die on,but yesterday he showed what I hoped for, must have been something worked on,to allow crosses and defend them?Thing with his position, when you gain possession you cannot gift it away which he had been doing, when he has it.Players move forward in anticipation,he gives it away and they are on to an unset defence. He properly took one clearing out traore,(didnt they all),but Lucas took almost as much stick and kicks so alls fair.

Just a final observation, having watched Nuno’s post match press conference. What a gentleman that guy is. His team plays sparkling football and he seems a quality individual as well as being a very astute manager. I really hope Wolves make a run at the Europa League as they are just a joy to watch.
