Wolves (H) PL Yesterday

Did we get lucky again? I reckon we did. Wolves could have scored 6 in the first half.. I don't mind riding a bit of luck at the start of the season, the new blokes are getting used to being Tottinghums and some of the old guard are a bit rusty - Yeah Sonny I'm looking at you.

Second half was much better, Perisic was great, I haven't seen crosses pinged in like that since Trips left. Richarlison looked very good in the short time he was on. Everybody else, including Emerson, did their jobs well. That isn't good enough for winning the League of course, they will need to do their jobs brilliantly and leave nothing on the pitch. A good start to the season 7 points from 3 games and signs that the new blokes are going to be splendid chaps. Sonny will hopefully shake off whatever needs shaking off, Harry will start banging them in and become the greatest ever Spurs scorer - 250th yesterday- brilliant!

Definitely got away with it yesterday. But then we’ve been doing this as far back as I can remember - a listless first half, a rocket up their backsides at half time and a big improvement in the second.

Agree about Perisic, he was fantastic. If he’s mentoring Sessegnon, as appears to be the case, that’s great.

Interesting stat about the reverse fixtures last season as well.

We lost 2-0 vs Wolves at home, 3-2 to Southampton at home, and 2-0 away to Chelsea so we’ve already got 7 points we didn’t have last season.

Also, with Sanchez, we apparently haven’t conceded a single goal in over 7 hours of football with him playing.
