This will be a piece of piss, we always win at the Lane, so let's see Janssen, GKN, Sissokko and Pau in the starting lineup. Only joking geezers, calm down! This will be tough but we are tougher. Everton are doing well at the moment, Lukaku has remembered how to score and is a massive threat, but it is massively difficult for opponents to penetrate us at the Lane - my fingers are crossed that Toby and Jan are OK, I'm going to cross my legs and my eyes just to make doubly sure.

Liverpool vs Arsenal will provide a result that we like, guaranteed. Liverpool will be grumpy after losing to the Foxes, Arsenal will still be miffed about their capitulation to the Germans, win lose or draw there will be something for us to gloat about in this match. I can't see anything nice happening in the Manchester games but you can't have everything.

What a lovely new thread for a Tuesday and we're back on a winning roll, lovely. These Toffees haven''t been beaten for 9 games and we've won every game at the Lane since the last one we didn't win, which was a draw against someone I've forgotten back in November I think, so something has to give and I think it will be Everton's ageing defence. It's all very well having 'experience' like Ashley Williams, Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines, but they're out of puff (never a good thing) by 70 mins and have a combined age of 271, so I'll predict here and now it will be a tough game and quite close up until then...we might only be leading by a couple of goals, but between 70-94th minute (there will be 4 mins of extra time because it's our new favourite number) we will score 2 more and win handsomely, because we are a very handsome team.

Sorry Toffee people, we like Everton because you're not Liverpool amongst other things, but a loss it is. Why not stay at home, save yourself some bother and watch it on TV?

Another early Sunday game on the telly which always annoys the Mrs as she likes us to have a Sunday brunch in one of Manchester's nicer area's but she'll be going alone again the week (she has the baby for company anyway). Jan and Toby should be OK for this as we're gonna need them. Keep Lukaku quiet and we'll be OK.

Sunday brunch? Is that one of them foreign things that foreigners do? Sounds a bit iffy to me, everyone knows that on a Sunday you have a bit of a lie in then sausage, egg and bacon with toast and half a pound of butter for breakfast - well, that's what I used to do, Mrs D has put a stop to that.

That's pretty much it for to @Dorset, I get my Sunday lie in, as long as the baby hasn't shit the bed again, then have breakfast around the time most people are having lunch. Not this week though. I'll get up watch loads of footy on the box, goals on Sunday and sometimes Sunday supplement before our game begins. It's only Tuesday morning and I'm looking forward to it already.

That's our Saturday breakfast, with a few baked beans as well if there are any kicking around. Sunday is tres continental in our house now....We have criossants filled with ham and cheese before reverting back to the good old Sunday roast after Spurs have won about 5pm unless we're the second match in which case dinner is at 7pm.

I suppose it's a simple breakfast to get up and make if the trade off is you get a Sunday roast.

champignions ha ha, close but no cigar!! you're right about no mushrooms, great in spag bol and on pizza, but not for breakfast. Hash browns definitely yes, cooked tomato definitely no, black pudding is in, mushrooms are out. White toast, not brown.

French mustard, doesn't cut the moutard at any time, ever, anywhere. They tried and failed to copy our delicious Colmans and couldn't. My wife sometimes does cocktail sausages covered in honey and some sort of grain mustard if someone important is coming round, those bastards are delicious.

No breakfast is complete without black pudding.

And why can't I make fried bread like my Ma used to? It must be that bowl of lard she kept in the fridge that just kept getting added to with the remains of the frying pan throughout my childhood.

I haven't seen a big 'bowl of lard' since I was about 9....the Sunday dripping that didn't go in the gravy went in the lard bowl in our house as well, and fried bread - winner - haven't seen that for a few years either, are hash browns the new fried bread?? My old man used to keep any mashed potato that was left over as well and then fry it up like a potato pattie on Saturday morning with the bacon and eggs etc.
I fancy a 'full English' right now (no mushrooms or tomatoes though!!)

The whole house used to stink when we made chips. There was a 'chip pan' and the oil stayed in it for months, I think we only washed the chip basket and just put the pan back in the cupboard when the oil had cooled down....

have to here, now make my own bacon, ham, sausage, bread and now black pudding! Its actually all pretty simple and best thing is no shit thrown in it,homemade bacon is amazing, but mostly its cos english grub here is so expensive,i just begrudge being shafted buying something, heinz beans are about £2 a can here, shit frozen sausages about £6 a pack (small pack!),ordinary meat and stuff is cheap but english stuff they just rape us.
I also tried cheese and salami both worked but too much of an arse to faff around with.
We always make too much mash cant beat fried mash with a weekend brekkie, tho i do like a hash brown as well.

Yeah let's analyse why Ben Davies is not really equipped to play left wing back and is it just because of his hair....? No let's not.....Brighton are beating Newcastle, c'mon Chrissie Hughton.

I thought I'd have a look on the leading Everton forum to see what they are going to have for breakfast on Sunday - and they haven't even got an OMBT, (Official Matchday Breakfast Thread) on the grandoldteam forum yet, that is very disrespectful I think. They obviously think their breakfasts are far superior to ours so they don't even bother to start a thread.

I really wanted use to have a better breakfast than them at the weekend, with this insult this has now become a must-eat breakfast for us!

By the way a few geezers here have mentioned baked beans, no, I'm not having that. I'm a tolerant sort of person and I will accept that it takes all sorts, and one man's sausage is another man's banana - but baked fucking beans with a full English is a perversion. The thought of the baked bean juice contaminating my beautifully fried eggs, the whites firm, the yolks nice and runny, well let me tell you chaps that though makes me want to hurl my breakfast into the bin. I like beans on toast as a light breakfast or even for my tea if I have had a big lunch and can't fancy a proper meal, but I will NEVER allow baked beans and fried eggs to live side by side on the same plate. That is the sort of thing a Brexit voter or Donald Trump would support and I will fight until my dying breath to stop this. Down with this sort of thing I say, down with it!

I am on the fence regarding cooked tomatoes, I don't have them with my breakfasts because there is always the danger of the juice seeping out and getting onto my eggs, which is obviously not acceptable, but I wouldn't go full mental looney in a cafe if they served them to me. I would just politely nudge the offending items off of my plate and tell the serving wench about the shocking mistake and not take it any further. Unless of course my eggs had been contaminated, it would kick off then,

Excellent.... OMBT like it. I will ignore the Baked bean argument, however well argued and written it might be and however well supported across the breakfasting nation, I will ignore it because in the heat of the moment you have likened me to a Brexiit voter and Donald Trump and that truly is unforgiveable, far far worse than a small amount of orangey coloured sauce and tiny vegetable contamination, far far worse. Baked beans can easily be served in a small ramekin on the same plate for those who wish. I'm not bitter and twisted however, I've ignored it and I've moved on to the large cup of tea to wash it all down and the sport section of the morning paper.

I dont mind tomatoes, beans or shrooms or all 3,or if they touch my chickens freerange eggs and contaminate them with that ghastly red colour, infact last year I grew yellow tomatoes, but they just looked weird tbh.

They come in Black as well apparently, and blue.... which is all way too weird and almost makes yellow acceptable? do we have a food thread, featuring anything other than kebabs in all their glory?!! If we haven't maybe we need one......it will be anchovies before too long, or whether you should have Worcester sauce on cheese on toast or indeed does it even come from Worcester....I'm off again...
