Steel work starting to go in on upper tiers now,much faster than concrete,if possible the pace upwards especially in the north stand will pick upnow.

We should see some big changes between now and the end of the season, ready for when the old girl gets demolished!!! 6 weeks time this will really start to look huge.

'Levy' Restaurants have won a 10 year catering contract at the new stadium. They are actually part of Compass group who are huge especially in America, and there is no connection, but the name is just hilarious must have appealed to his ego at least. you can't make this stuff up!!

Levy Restaurants UK has been engaged to design, develop and deliver world class and innovative hospitality and catering with the objective of realising the Club’s ambition of revolutionising the match day experience for all visitors to the venue.

A clear focus will be placed on capitalising on the stadium's pioneering use of technology to ensure fans can benefit from seamless pay and pre-ordering applications.

Reflecting our approach to local community engagement, Levy Restaurants UK will also seek to work with local artisan producers and suppliers while developing relationships with named and emerging chefs for the retail and hospitality concepts.

The partnership will create 50 full-time senior positions and 1,400 match day jobs within the catering and hospitality areas, playing an important role in generating employment within the local Tottenham area – a key driver in the Club’s stadium project.

I would imagine that there would be much bottom twitching going on if that were the case, as I would assume that it would have yuge financial implications with bank loans, NFL deal, naming rights, etc. etc. etc.

yeah its from the THST THFC board to board meeting,(its in the THST thread now).What it says in a nutshell is we wont play 2 seasons at wembley,so if there is to be a delay then the 1st option is to stay at WHL next year and then wembley 2018/19.All has to be decided end of the month when we have to agree any wembley deal.Levy did say its prudent to leave any decsion to the last minute,to be as accurate as possible.

There has been considerable angst caused by the wording and new figures quoted by THST about the new stadium costs,there has been heated debate online in some areas and this content is taken from the skyscraper city NWHL thread and the member hotspursam ICYMI.

Finance, naming rights and ancillary projects
• MB asked if all of the financing was in place to complete the stadium build. DL stated that the funds would come from different sources and that the cost of the stadium was now estimated circa £800m

If you are unaware the original projection was around £400m and the total cost of the NPD (stadium,housing,hotels etc) was projected to be £750m.Here is the correspondance between hotspursam and Donna Cullen asking about "stadium only" and total cost clarification.

I have emailed Donna Cullen with the following request. It's 21:30 now so I won't get an answer, if any, until tomorrow.

I am writing this time to ask if you are able to calm the on-line Spurs Stadium community about the cost of the new stadium.
In the latest minutes of the THST board to board meeting with the club, a figure of £800m was quoted as the cost now for the 'stadium' only - up some £400m from previously know public domain information. Can you please confirm this one way or the other please, so I can inform SSC and other forums, where discussion has become quite heated and vexed.
I imagine this cost will include the podium build plus the Tottenham Experience and maybe now the new Paxton Square/House complex as well.

Hi Samuel

It worth remembering that the original cost quoted for the stadium was some 7 years ago. This new 'estimated' figure relates predominantly to the stadium with some elements of substructure for the other builds particularly the Tottenham Experience. Brexit has added a straight 20% on costs for foreign goods due to the exchange rate, overtime working and increased construction costs similarly. Revised basement works also added to the cost. We are constantly managing costs and will continue to do so throughout the process along with funding plans to ensure the viability of the scheme.

On the plus side, THST and the club in the form of Donna Cullen, Jonathan Waite, Ian Murphy and others, continue with decent communication and liaison with interested supporters groups.

On the down side, the bill for all of this is becoming astronomic, a good time to have Daniel Levy, Joe lewis, and the NFL in your corner. They have already raised approx. £20m through 'premier seat' sales to corporates and wealthy individuals. I'm sure that Levy has a plan, the important thing is that it should, where ever possible not hamper buying players - we are lucky on that side that many of our key first XI are relatively young.

I heard about some of this stateside as well and wasn't sure whether or not to believe it. Hummm, so we may actually stay at WHL next season after all. Wonder if we can actually do that though, as I can only assume it'll be at an even smaller reduced rate of capacity for the fans as more parts of the stadium disappear.

What's happened to hedgehogs and Starlings? When I was a lad the starlings used to invade my back garden when I put food out for all the nice birds in the winter, and Hedgehogs used to be flattened all over the roads, can't remember seeing a flattened hedgehog for years.....

Haha, I actually googled 'Audrey is a goer' and found this place. No idea it even existed until half hour ago. And then recognised about 80% of the posters. Odd really.
