Middlesbrough have sacked manager Aitor Karanka after three and a half years at the club.

Boro are winless in their last 10 Premier League games and currently sit in the relegation zone, three points from safety with 11 games remaining.

Was saying to a lad I know who supports Boro that he has to go if you're they're to have any chance of staying up. They just have no inclination to attack and score goals under him. Just to make sure I will let you know that in the history of the Premier League every single side with 55 points or more after 28 games has made it into the top 4 - we have 59! everton have 9 games left incuding matches with liverpool,united,arsenal,chelsea if they get results in them they will have done it the hard way and done us a massive favour.

So the gap between us and Chelsea is currently 7pts with 9 games left. However, the incredible thing is, by the time Chelsea kick off against Bournemouth this coming weekend, that gap could EASILY be just 2pts and, potentially, just 1pt.

Weirdly, I actually think that a 2pt gap would suit us better as it would mean both Chelsea and our other title rival, Man City, dropped points midweek, and a draw between the 2 is possibly the most likely result in my opinion, which is quite exciting!

Sure, it still means us beating Swansea away, which is no easy feat in their current form, and even if we do get it down to 2pts, Chelsea will most likely beat Bournemouth and the gap will be back to 5pts. However, it will see them being suddenly put under real pressure all of a sudden, and with a few tough games to play such as away at both United and Everton. It also shows just how quickly a gap can close.

A brilliant weekend for us really, City, the scum, the chavs and United all dropped points and we bagged all three in a really tough fixture, luvverly jubberly indeed.

I don't think Arsenal are a threat this year now...although you never know, United also seem to be focussed on the EL. If City can beat Chelsea midweek, then the chance becomes real, but we have to win every game, it's not realistic....is it?? Maybe ha ha
