People talk about missing kane but missing rose is our biggest issue

Great, tough but important win today. Yes we keep within 10pts of Chelski but, perhaps more importantly, we've now gone 9pts clear of Arsenal in 6th and we're 7pts clear of Man Utd in 5th, and the 2 clubs nearest us, City and Liverpool, are about to play each other.

With the other results and fixtures this weekend today was vital to get the points but, with us missing some key players and against Southampton (who are a good team in good form) it was always going to be hard.

Have a massive curry feast cooking to eat soon, but you spursy bastards couldnt let my stomach settle could you!amount of times I eat at a weekend feeling sick from spurs stress......
Guess we managed the game well enough in the end,but some careless passing made it more edgy than it needed to be,I wish to fuck Dembele would shoot once in a while!!Thats the perfect tonic to kane being out,now two weeks for him and rose to kick back and recover some more.Wont be long til MTG is a mathematical reality eh !!

Is there a player more offside than Shane Long?
Hello mate, good to have you here! I expect that ctw01 fella will be kicking off on the other OMT thread eh?

Does Ctw stand for complete total wanker?? Anyway enough of that, good game, I thought we were comfortable at 2-0 and expected us to go and get a third....especially after Gabbiadini went off, but no and they looked better than us in the second half, committed and pressing.

Still all's well that ends well, Janssen excellent for his 10 minutes at the end again, tough afternoon but well played for a lot of the match and a great three points, home win, International break and a rest for some, good times!!

If only it counted winning by one goal and we got had earned points against tough opposition, all that wasted effort to come away with nothing. Oh yeah, I was confused by the whingeing. That was a good win, we are pulling clear of the chasing pack, fuck the chavs, nothing we can do about them.

Great game of football. Why did it go so bat shit bonkers in terms of tempo in the lads 20 mins tho.

We were very comfortable all over the pitch. The subs were absolutely brilliant when introduced. Winks was ridiculously competitive as well as Trip.

Son was great at stretching the line and Ericksen was pulling the strings. I almost don't need to mention how good Victor was..... again. Lloris can't kick for shit and worries me at times but again he is safe as houses. Dele is getting a rep for being a diving cunt which is unfortunate but he is of the era where if contact happens you use it. Don't like it but I like almost everything else he does.

Verts and Toby are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking good.

I think they started playing... they started to work as hard as we were... the subs brought back some energy and we started grafting again.

Great game of football in my book.

Also they hadnt played since end of feb in the EFL cup final,no wonder we looked a bit jaded in comparison, and I think we just got nervy.Winks is a good sub for us,has energy, holds ball well, passes well and drives into space.

Thought the Winks and Janssen subs killed the game for us. Vincent in particular. They had got on top of us a bit but he came on, held it up, took the sting out of them, helped take a bit of pressure of our defence and was unlucky with a great turn and shot near the ends . Massive 3pts and all being well we can now put a bit of distance between ourselves and 3rd place. is it too early to say Mind The Fucking Gap you shower of shite

After feeling pretty comfortable at half time I have to say fair play to Southampton, they were a much better side in the second half. We did what we had to and saw the game out.

Winks looks better every time he gets on the pitch at the moment and Jansen was decent enough for the short period he came on for.

Three points in our first game without Kane and an international break coming up. Kane and Rose can rest and hopefully be ready not long after the international break.

Yep this bringing long on who runs his balls off stretched us but I'm still glad for the break

Vin Diesel because he's built like a dump truck.

Must have almost been a record for being the most fouled per minute in a game.

We dropped off but I also thought that they got away with grabbing and shoving in the midfield when we made breaks in the second half.

Hugo always remains focused and even if we ask ''Hugo, Hugo what's the score'' he ignores our chants totally but yesterday he got really animated and gesticulated to the Park Lane to up the volume with 5 minutes of Fergie time. Great to see that he isn't that cooooooooool all the time. Btw, I think he must have been watching the Six Nations egg shaped ball game as he kept kicking into touch.

What whinging?
Cough cough - Two of the most stupid substitutions i have ever seen! Poch better hope we hold out.....

....posted on another site far far away...you can criticise here too mate, Spurs and this site ain't perfect, but you'll have to be able to defend your point. Silliness like 'Mason is dog poo' and 'Poche is he all that?' will just incur the wrath of the masses, fire and brimstone will be poured.

Couldn't resist a sneaky look at the 'site far away' after your post @Don Diaz. Heyho!! ' we only beat Southampton because they hadn't played a Premier League game in 36 days and were rusty in the first half'

..Ha ha yes although many of them seem to be quietening down a bit, perhaps it's dawned on most that being currently second to a team that had an absurd run of wins, is really no mean achievement, especially when you consider who, what and how much resource and experience is below us. I definitely think Poche and the players 'are all that'. They make me extremely happy indeed.

ps. Watford 3 - 4 Southampton 4th March, only 1 game in 36 days, this 'resting' nonsense is over rated, they're young fit blokes, let them run around, @Yid does it all the time and he's doing 26 miles, not 10k in a game with stops for injuries etc. and a drink at halftime for 15 minutes....pansies. ha ha

Haha yes I understand i can post it here as long as there is a defence! Its not whinging or criticism in a any way, at the time it was a genuine badly vented view that putting a midfielder up front when we were on the back foot in game did seem pointless to me! And bringing on tripper for walker who didnt seem injured seemed a waste especially when all he did was give ball away

That said we won and onwards and upwards

Ha there you go.....cured already. These things are usually best left to Poch I find, unless he fucks up being all human and everything, like Liverpool away and then every fan on the planet knows better. Mind you he's only done that once or twice this season in the league - Chelsea and United away don't really count - we did alright in those two.

I had another look at the game without the tension and nervousness and my suspicions about the ref were confirmed. They were too physical and he let them get away with it. That doesn't matter though, we always need to win properly and take the ref out of the equation, so blaming the ref for us 'only just winning' is bollox.

What I do think is important is that Forster made 3 world class saves, Hugo had one straight at him, if 2 or 3 more of our chances had gone in the the numpty fuckers would not be whingeing. What the fuck?

Anyway we won, again, and that is perifck! I just had a look a the freshly sausage-machined recent form table and the scum are 16th! Just 6 points in their last 6 PL games - Mind the fucking gap, we are 4th with 13 points.

Hurah..... I'd fit in the Poch system a treat.... and my arse is way bigger than vinnys...!!!

Don't go to the land far far away... In fact can we not call it that as we've all been programmed by Disney and all the sissy fairytales to think this foreign holiday destination of "far far away" is a place of hope and kindness.

Where we are referring to is akin to down town Syria filled with rats and the pox infested unwashed.

well its obviously something he wants to look at,dele up front in a game.I guess winks for dembele is the usual sub,but ball wasnt sticking with Son up top.Whatever was going wrong 2nd half needed changing,id have gone for Janssen up top,but guess that wouldnt have had them worrying about our forward running in behind them.Turned out nice in the end anyway.
