Add on the potential sales of Wimmer and Sissoko and that'll he £100m+ worth of sales..

I know we are doing the new stadium and we only want specific players, etc, but would be great to see that money go back into improving the playing squad. Balancing the books shouldn't leave us short financially and that money could be the difference of winning a trophy..

The club publically stated that funding the stadium and squad are seperate issues and spending on the team would not be curtailed, however last half a decade we have a net spend around not a lot at all,so not sure how this fits in!!

Certainly this is a time to be smart,a lot of money being spent on quick fixes at united, chelsea, everton, city.Southampton had a s tella season sold shaw, lallana, chambers, lovren, lambert in one window and those players did what exactly?saints carried on,improved. This year its Monaco, had a good season and players being sold for stupid amounts.I dont mind us not rushing in to the frenzy, but i dont want a last week panic buy frenzy either.I think Poch is quite studious in his ways, better he knows what he wants than a 3rd party making choices,we have certainly moved on from those days now of levy/commolli picking talent.
A CB when wimmer goes, possibly RB if walker-peters is not to be thrown in,or the new CB doesnt allow further Dier options, and for me Barkley in sissoko out.Yes we will have a huge net save, but better contracts for some, and allow edwards,ccv,walker-peters,winks,sterling to prove or disprove their worth, along with a possibly returning Lamela.I just cant see any value or if you like worth in signing a Kane competitor, they wont come to be 2nd fiddle, their wages and fee will be monsterous,we will just have to rely on our last years 3 +20goal players and Janssen to do it all again or in vince`s case kick on.

Who? Fred Wossisname? Oh yeah, he used to play for us innit. Er, good luck then Fred.

All this money sloshing around should as you said be used to pay the current brilliant squad more money, Levy has got lucky, now he needs to stop being a cunt and spread the wedge. Yes, he has got lucky, lucky with the manager, lucky with the players, if anyone says he has bought shrewdly and prudently I will laugh at them.

It doesn't really matter who we got where we are, but it matters hugely that we keep this squad because those cuntish agents will be circling round offering mega-wedge and who would blame a young bloke for choosing £100k plus a week for kicking a ball around? The wages are stupid, obscene even, but nothing can be done about that, Levy has to pay the market rate. All clubs must have a budget for players, even if that budget was only £50m per year (sounds a lot but it ain't with all that TV money) then Levy has at least £300m spare change, if he doesn't then he is the cunt I know he is, not the saviour everybody else thinks.

I suppose there is an upside to these stupid wages, the tax revenue should be significant and that would help the country if that Despicable May bitch didn't use it to bribe those religious extremists to save her job and they didn't need all that money to try and counter the effects of that Brexit abortion. If any of our players gets caught avoiding tax then they can fuck off after a nice long spell in prison. If you are earning £100k a week then at least £40k of that should go into the 'pot'. That would probably be a lot of money eh? How many Premier League players are there? Probably about 600, if you worked on an average of say £25k a week that's £312m per year tax, almost 1/3rd of the bung that the bitch will need to bribe her way forward, or it could pay all the nurses in the UK an extra £20 per week.

You see it's this kind of shit that's gonna burn his bridges with us. You got the move Kyle, hope this missus is happy up Norf, now say thanks to Spurs fans and shut up!
Not one player on social media has wished him well or made any comment!!yes they will have said goodbye in person/phone if they wished, but the silence from former team mates is unusual.
That tweet about his agent,on what planet does he think that does his image any good?city fans dont care, and spurs fans have largely rounded on him.He is dead to us now, hope he doesnt win a thing up there thats all the good luck I wish him.

I would suggest that Walker uses some of his new wealth to employ a better PR agent.

Can someone tell me why we are apparently so keen on Ross Barkley? at £30m+....he's a long way from being outstanding and struggles to make the England team, when we have 5 that are first choice....I'm not sure I get it?

I think £30m might be a bit much for Barkley, though £30m pretty much is the new £10m... I think he's got lots of potential, and if we can Pochettino him into the player he could be getting him under £30m would be a very good deal. I think a deal that could reach £30m with add ons would not be a bad deal for either party.

Maybe we could give them Sissoko as well, I'd take that swap ;p

I think he's got the talent but needs to be coached into being a top player, Martinez wasn't great for him as think his constant possession game stifled his progress as an attacking midfielder. He's a good passer of the ball though, with good movement and vision and when he's up for it can help dominate games it's mainly a consistency issue with him. With the right coaching he could be up there with the lads we play behind the striker now.

Amen brother:D

I genuinely thought I was the only one who just couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

In the West Indies we have a saying when someone is great one minute and not so great the next, we call it 'sometimeish' and when I see Ross Barkley I can hear my mother calling him that (because she often does) and I completely agree. What concerns me with him is that I would never say he's out of form, you can help a player get back his form one way or another, but Barkley....meh....I don't know what it is, but something just screams at me that his performances for Everton have been more about Ross Barkley and less about the set up with Everton.

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley wants £150,000 a week to join Tottenham and the Toffees are demanding £50m for the 23-year-old - according to the Daily Mirror.

The official Spurs response from the 'ProperSpursy' forum was HA HA HA HA HA HA... Fuck off.

£50m and £150k a week, no chance.
£25m and £70k is a goer, I reckon.

Mr Barkley, I do not see a bidding war for your services. You need to make it big at Spurs, not come in like you already have done so.

I have to say I've never liked the fellas attitude. He seems to be under the illusion he is much better than he actually is! He could however become a very good player, for some reason I just don't think he has the drive. Who knows though perhaps with the right guidance his mentality would change. Still if he wants 150k a week he may give one of those Chinese teams a ring.

No one has either enquired or indeed bid for the young man, so talk of his transfer is somewhat wide of the mark.
