From I'm hearing it is true, but agent had told media before it had officially been handed in. Bit naughty from the agent but don't expect anything better from them. At least it takes the negative focus off us and Rose for a bit.

Fuck off no way in this world will we pay €35m for a defender! Its about as true as the we are signing keita balde rumour
Hence 'if true.' He is a very good player in a position where we could strenghtening considering Poch obvs doesn't trust Wimmer.

Sanchez is a very good target for us. He looks A Star in the making but that's not what the big spenders want. Sanchez has European experience and not to knock the Dutch league but this is the kind of transfer these lads want. He's more mobile than Dier for the backup right back position aswell. It's a transfer that makes sense as he won't want mega wages either. We need a trophy this year and you cannot compete on 4 fronts with our back line.

Walker:
Too many are overlooking how much the role of fullback has changed in our team over the past decade and how that has become even more so since our switch to 3 in the back. The drop in play between a first string and second string fullback now can have an immediate noticeable impact on our team's ability to create chances, maintain balance and control the game - they are more offensive players than defensive in our set up. The amount of sprints they are asked to do and ground they are asked to cover is more than the full backs - or traditional wingers - of old. Further having diversity in fullback type has become a very viable tactical tool for our team. With this in mind, I think we should start thinking of depth in the full back position in the same way you would think of an attacking midfielder. Playing our current 3-4-2-1 formation, we will need two top full backs to win the league. 45 million for Walker is silly money, but there is no way that he is not a top quality full back in that position. Unless he has a known permanent injury or major fall-out, letting him go next season would be an open acknowledgement that we are not serious about being title contenders, particularly if we sold to City.

I see these top two positions more likely to cost us points next season, and far more important than any others to add cover to:

1. CB - this needs to be an athletic CB that is comfortable on the ball with his left foot. This is not only an issue because we are playing 3 of them without adequate cover, but it is also cover for Wanyama as it frees up Dier. Currently we have a lot of versatility in cover between the back 3 and DM, but very little depth. Another CB is top priority.

2. CM cover for Dembele. Basically a decision on Harry Winks needs to be made. Is he our long term Dembele replacement? If not, another midfielder to cover and one day replace Dembele is needed. When Dembele is not available we automatically lose a part of our game. Winks has did well last season, but is he the one? Either way, Wanyama + Dier is not a versatile option and also takes us out of our preferred back 3.

...3. What about Striker? ...First I'll say now that I still believe that Jansen can play a long-term role in our set-up. He lacks quickness, but has everything else we need in a good role-player frontman. He can play target man, he can put in a hard shift, he can certainly get back to scoring some goals, but most of all, he's the perfect type of player for Son and Dele to play off of. He's not going to score 20+ goals a season, he just doesn't have the quickness I'm afraid, but with Son and Dele in the line-up, we don't need our that type of goal-scorer up front to still win games handily. Point is, we're not as thin up front as we would be in a more traditional set up. Should we try to pick up one more? Hell yes, but it will take quite a buy to find another striker that gets game-time to how Dele and Son fit into the equation and the versatility of Jansen.

...4. Finally, what about in our attacking mids? We could always be better? I worry a bit about if a long-term absence of Eriksen would be a major drain of points, could Winks step up? Would Son + Dele in a 2 be enough to overpower teams? Will Lamela ever come back and make his mark? So much of if we need cover here depends on the MPs understanding of Winks and Lamela (and also if Sissoko ever is likely to get with the programme). So for me, if we were to have a high profile move in this area it would signal a lack of faith in those players, but if we don't, it would signal some confidence in their revival.

Good to see you folks are still hanging around...

Ahem, bump.

If true and he turns out to be a half decent player (only time will tell),it's the best 35 million we could spend all summer.

Yay we have signed Davinson McDavinsonface, Levy is da boss!

Boo, they have snubbed us, Levy the cunt has left it too late again!

Danny is Googling 'Pape Cheikh Diop' and 'Celta Vigo', who the fuck are they? Good move Levy, we could always use another dozen or so midfielders. The Poch will be playing the old classic 2-7-1 formation this season. We don't need no more defenders with Jan and Toby in front of Hugo. Tippier's injury doesn't matter, we don't need Snakeboy Rose, Wimmer can stay on the bench, Ben Davies is Welch and we all know how crap them Taffs are.

Is he versatile in that he can cover FB either side?or DM?Would rather hear from someone I know than a google fiend!!

If reports of an offer over £15m for wimmer are true then this is a no brainer.

Premier League clubs are discussing plans to close the summer transfer window before the start of the season next year.

The current window, in line with many other European leagues, closes on 31 August, almost three weeks after the start of the Premier League season.

A vote is set to take place at the next shareholders meeting on 7 September.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Swansea boss Paul Clement are among those to have called for a change.

Fifa regulations state the transfer window should close by 1 September, or as near as practical if it clashes with a weekend.

This has been a particular problem this season, with the future of several high-profile players who are expected to move between Premier League clubs - including Southampton's Virgil van Dijk, Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson and Everton's Ross Barkley - unresolved.

None played in the opening round of fixtures last weekend.

"A better situation would be if the transfer window closed before the start of the season," Clement said.

"I don't really understand why it goes to the end of August. I know there's talks about that changing in future. That's my opinion that it should do."

Under the proposals, Premier League sides would not be able to add to their squads once the season begins.

However, clubs from other European leagues could sign players from England in line with their own domestic deadlines.

Klopp said: "An earlier transfer deadline day would have helped us this year.

"In general, it makes sense that when the season starts that the planning is over."

The January transfer window would not be affected by the proposed changes.

As with all issues affecting the Premier League, it will need 14 clubs to vote in favour before any change can be made.

It is a complicated scenario, not least because it has the potential to put England's top-flight teams at a disadvantage because rivals across Europe will be active for up to three weeks after the Premier League window has closed.

The plan would have no power to prevent a club such as Barcelona targeting Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho - as they have done this summer - for instance.

As Europe's major leagues all start at different points - France was a week before England, with Spain, Italy and Germany a week after - a Europe-wide change is not going to happen.

There is also the potential for clubs who do not agree - Watford are said to be against it - or agents to mount a legal challenge.

However, the disruption caused by the continuation of the transfer window beyond the start of the season has become so great, and started to affect so many teams, the feeling that something has to be done has begun to take hold.

It will certainly be an interesting topic for discussion on 7 September.

Is Levy 'signing' Serge Aurier because he knows he won't have to pay any money out, which would wound him terribly? He can turn round to the peasants and say "I really tried to get you a nice player, but sadly because he is a thug and has a criminal record we can't get a work permit for him". This must be true because I wrote it on the Internet.

"However, the small matter of a court ruling meaning Aurier cannot enter the UK after being given a two-year suspended sentence for attacking a police officer in 2016 may prove to be an obstacle too far for the north London club. Aurier is currently appealing his ban and the outcome may not be known before the transfer window shuts."

Hmmm. Have we been Levied?

I am polar opposite,hairy&skint.
You are a master of disguise sir. I knew it was you on the telly with your identical twin gnome brother but millions of other people did not, proving that you are capable of fooling the vast majority of the sheep people. Ask the 5 or 6 million people who saw you on TV - 'who was the gnomish bloke with the hat' and 'have you ever seen that bloke and Levy in the same room'?

I think I have proved my point and you are in fact Daniel Levy. Who knows what other secret master of disguise personalities you may be hiding from us. Are you Wally? If so where the fuck have you been and why does anybody give a fuck where you are?

The England midfielder went for a scan on a hamstring injury yesterday and there are suggestions he will now be out for six weeks.
