Last week, I took Callum for our first trip to Newcastle( being away for Chelsea and Burnley- it was the compromise)...
Was talking in the, pub, about Loyalty points and what a total feck up it is.
As a bronze member with 340 , highly costly LOYALTY points, and my son on 280, when we up graded to a,ST, we joined all the great unwashed at 48,000 on the ST waiting list, and are now in 0 points......now that's all well and good till we reach a semi final.
All the,old STH will get a,ticket, but I'll go into a pot with 24,000 other holders, some had 600 Pts some had 50 with an equal chance of getting a ticket.....that is just wrong..
One fan who delivers expensive cars for a living, lucky sod, mentioned a scheme that THST had put to the club regarding loyalty points.
It was thus, all the members keep there loyalty points, less those from 5 years ago, so I'd porobably have lost circa 68 points, and I'd have joined the Existing ST with 272 points, the Original ST Would also lose their points from 5 years ago, so we'd all be on the same number of points, but to show they were original STH, they'd get 1000 points added, which they'd have deducted every year by 200 points, so in 5 years time, we'd all be equally entitled to get away games.......rather than having to use known contacts, as I did, where I had to pay £40 each for Newcastle......blindingly simple, but typically not implemented
