Soz but.......... Who?
Ask Danny Rose....he's googled him. Ajax player of the year last year, 21 year old versatile centre back.

Could be a great signing.

Think he'll be a fantastic signing! Hopefully we have a few more to announce soon too.

Right I've now watched the youtube stuff.

Firstly the Dutch league from that vid is shite. He looks like he is playing an age group down and he does look impressive.

One footed in the tackle, loves a hook as opposed to a clearance, quick, strong as fuck good in the air, nuisance in the opposition box, likes an early Toby'esq long ball forward, brings the ball forward like Jan used to do, can attack the ball and sit off to mop up well.

If that translates to the Prem against much better opposition he'll do well.

2 of the best in the game to learn from so fingers crossed.

He's been superb so far this season. Outstanding 2nd half vs Madrid.
Struggling to elaborate on posts atm. Will be fine when I get back in the swing of things. Just trying to remember all the things that I've wanted to post over the last few months

That's a hell of a weight to put on 21 year old shoulders, if he turns out to be good enough to get the nickname 'Two Knees' that will be great, he seems OK to me so far, nowhere near the King yet, but early days.

Davinson is now 23 with a reasonable number of games under his belt. Anyone else starting to think we hoped to be seeing a bit more for £42m invested when he was 21. One more season?

Remember VVD,i can remember at least 2 horrendous mistakes which led to dele and kane scoring,he was well past 23 then!!they just take longer to gain the experience,i think he is good enough for his age,and like keepers a mistake costs goals, midfielders and strikers get away with mistakes,CBs dont.He played the pass for Son` s winner yesterday and TBH Toby had a mare and we arent talking about that.

Fair enough, although included in the back 6 (7) would be Hugo yesterday who I think was at least 50% to blame for both their goals. When he came out to deal with their last corner and punch it away, he was much better. I'm putting the defence yesterday down to a brain fart one off hopefully. Leipzig and Chelsea will tell us more.

I think Sanchez could be a top player,i dont think he is yet,but i feel some of the criticism of him is pretty harsh,he isnt a horror show like mustafi, luiz, chiriches, could do better definately, the "he` s shit fucking sell him" scapegoat gang I really dont understand though.

He gets bullied off the ball a little bit for his size but that core strength will continue to develop. Is lightning quick though so that gets him out of trouble when needed. I like him, he's not a world-beater yet but the potential is certainly there.

I think he is still getting better. It's an easy position to look bad in as you are often learning on the job because of the variety of situations you will find yourself in is quite large and influenced by so many factors outside of your control.

Well he's only 23, and I went for him ahead of Vertonghen pre Villa, when it turned out he was part of a collective mess at the back. So we'll see, Maureen clearly rates him as best option after Toby atm, although maybe Jan plays against Timo Werner on Wednesday night. Davinson has probably got until Summer '21 when he'll be 25 and hopefully world class.

Strange how is the scapegoat along with aurier, tanganga got done by Ings too easily and cos we all love him,no one says a word. But you hope he learnt in the PL you cant allow people to just cut back on to their favoured foot.I think davinsons most repeated mistake was trying to be too aggresive and win the ball ,getting turned by a striker who knew that move, but dont remember him commiting that error for awhile now.

They all make mistakes, just like the Villa CB on Sunday. You'd just want to see some gradual improvement game on game. Aurier has I think, been getting better with minutes this season and clearly is doing whatever the manager tells him, he was better after the first 20 minutes against Grealish, who was tearing everyone a new one. Think its just positioning with Aurier, Sissoko being back will help him, toomoften in the first half against Villa he and Moura were both upfield. Tanganga, looks way better to me at left back rather than right back and obvs he's still very fresh out of the box. I suspect Maureen will have had a word and a think before Wednesday night.

With his pace and with a bit more composure, he'd remind me a bit of Des Walker.
Think he'll come good yet.....

Who scored the goal that set me on this path of "Spursdom"...

Was never the same after that I think...

I'll be surprised if @skiathospurs isn't wearing his Sanchez shirt on Sunday......definitely the next Ledley. ;)

Tbf he, Aurier, Foyth, Tanganga and even CCV are all very young, as is KWP. At least 2 and probably 3 of that crop will be good and since we paid £40m+ for Sanchez he will likely be one of them. He's currently better than Vertonghen as is Tanganga at left back in my view. They are going to be up against pace Traore, Jimenez and Jota with Doherty all counter attacking on Sunday, so we'll see how they cope. Let's hope Wolves are still hung over from last nights exertions.
