I'd like to see Dier play with Lalana next to him and a three of Alli in the middle then Rashford and Sterling either side of him behind Kane. I'd really like to start seeing Winks get more time over the season if Dembele is going to have to be nursed through the season, although Sissoko has been better he isn't ever going to be amazing where as Winks needs to gain the experience to become a class act.

From BBC player ratings!

Harry Winks (central midfield) 8
England's best performer. Neat and tidy and almost scored. Eye-catching among so much mediocrity.

Jordan Henderson (central midfield) 4
Another very poor performance. Spends too much time passing the ball sideways and backwards. Not the midfield creator England need and his place will soon be under threat.

The Irish have probably the best support in the world and their football is very effective, but it's bloody awful to watch. About as turgid as England. Feel sorry for Wales.

despite monsieur magoo`s plea for game time no wheelchair either!!play him yerself arsene if he`s that good :p
To be fair to the French twat, he has given Wheelchair 13 minutes of Premier League match time this season. What a pillock Wenger is, Wilshere has never been ready for the Ingerlund squad and he never will be, the nasty little thug

The funny thing about Wilshire is how amazing he would be managed by Pochettino. Such a shame we would never have the little prick

Just watch how good Barkley becomes IF we get him in Jan

I think we'll get Barkley and I think it'll be a great move for both us and him. He has so much potential and has never gotten anywhere near it through having managers who don't know how to improve him.

The only thing I want from England is our lads to have a rest and most definitely not get injured...

Can someone remind me why we need Ross Barkley again? Sell Sissoko? The new Dembele?

he can be quite a good player IMO,badly coached or used last 2 years, has that little nasty streak which if sissoko had,we probably wouldnt be thinking of someone else.If anyone could get him back on track its Poch.

We don't need anyone but it's one of those risk that's probably worth taking on a player with his ability albeit inconsistently, at a price that's going to be very reduced. Poch will make a worldy out of him, I think.

Fine, sign him up for £15m and £65k a week and soon we'll have 7 in the England squad, 8 if you count the traitor Kyle Walker.

Forgive my foolish prediction....it's likely we will end up with 3 in the England squad and 2 - Tripps and Dier if Kane withdraws. To be honest after the outstanding game Dier had today I wouldn't mind if he 'had a knock' as well and got 2 weeks rest.

Bit of a sorry state of affairs after the withdrawals......perhaps some of the other 'top' teams should invest in English youth talent and make an England place more competitive? Just a thought because I'm less and less bothered these days, whilst the existing members of the FA are at the helm.

England squad
Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke City),Joe Hart (West Ham - loan from Manchester City),Jordan Pickford (Everton).

Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton),Gary Cahill (Chelsea),Joe Gomez (Liverpool),Phil Jones (Manchester United),Michael Keane (Everton),Harry Maguire (Leicester),Danny Rose (Tottenham),John Stones (Manchester City),Kieran Trippier (Tottenham),Kyle Walker (Manchester City).

Midfielders: Eric Dier (Tottenham),Jesse Lingard (Manchester United),Jake Livermore (West Brom),Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Crystal Palace - loan from Chelsea),Ashley Young (Manchester United).

Forwards: Tammy Abraham (Swansea - loan from Chelsea),Marcus Rashford (Manchester United),Jamie Vardy (Leicester).

One of the worst penalty decisions you’ll likely see!
