Got a depth estimate?
Right, now that I've given away my addiction to watching the stadium build and the anal nature of that pursuit, I will post nothing more, for fear of further piss take.. Skiathos it's all yours........I will merely lurk behind the scenes!!

Had to click the link....didn't I - it is as someone else pointed out, construction porn. I didn't know one end of a raker from another, a year ago, just liked the occasional bridge on a motorbike. Now I'm a construction addict. 'Bazza' - only way to test the East stand now is to get 1,500 tonne jumping up and down - that will be when we beat Arsenal at home in 2018/19 then.

Ok I lied.....as if by magic and not least lucky coincidence...there's a big article on the club site about the South Stand 'trees' being delivered. Here's an excerpt

These are known as ‘trees’ due to their shape and how they branch out to support the structure.

To give you an indication of their sheer size, once assembled, they will hit 49 metres in height.

The trees are unique to our new stadium having been designed so the venue’s sliding pitch can move underneath the South Stand unimpeded.

Below: Image shows how the trees will support the South Stand

Here are a few facts about the trees:
- Each tree, including the base and plinth, weighs 262 tonnes – that’s over 20 double-decker buses.
- The height from the underside of the base to the top of the tallest branch is 49 metres – that’s half-way up Big Ben.
- The trees are a unique architectural feature supporting the back of the new single-tier South Stand including the rakers that carry the terraces and compression ring from which the stadium roof us suspended.

It's too windy for crane work according to the geeks.....hope they've factored that in to the build schedule, being a British winter coming up.

I'm sure the British weather is the biggest factor!

But if you look at it this way, this is the final parts of the structure, the last part of the stand height is what we're looking at. And it's November. The rest is glass work, really, and internal work. The speed at which some of the rest of this went up, I'd be surprised, even with weather delays that they weren't finished with all the steelwork by Christmas.

They say the roof is one of the last things to go on, right?

I see a crane moving on camera 1, this is fake news about crane work.
