..and another six pointer! Blimey, they're coming thick and fast now. After tonight's magnificent win over United we can beat anybody. I reckon Sonny will get a couple, Dele and Christian will be on the score sheet as well, Harry will wait until the NLD to get his 100th Premier League goal, that would be very special.

If he waits he'll need to get a Hat-Trick in order to make up the blanks he will have fired tonight and against the Dippers...

FUUUUUK I wanna win this game against the gutter cunts. Dare I say more than the Scum???

I don't feel we need to be bangvup for it against the scum... but these pricks if they show up can play...!!!

COYS.

If we play with the intensity that we did tonight and work just hard then we'll win. When we play like that, there's no-one that can live with us. Difficult to do it every week but it's there. I'm going 2-1 us...one goal in it, might be 3-2.

Then Poch needs to give the first team the rest of the week off before Arsenal. The squad have to show they can beat Newport.

Maybe a Lucas debut against Newport? Our squad should definitely be able to handle them on a quality pitch at home.

I really do think we will mullar Liverpool. if we play as we did against United. We will have even more room in that final third to push in to.

I think this run of 3 games against the big sides will be very good for us moving forward, as if we push with that intensity for 3 games hopefully it'll instill it for the easier games.

I despise this lot. Truly despise them. Not a great emotion to have about anyone or anything but hey ho. Klopp's paranoia about injury time and tv schedules is borderline fucking lunacy and even mourinho at his best wouldn't come off with a deluded claim like that. Dipper fans must now see he isn't quite the second coming of Christ they once thought he was. Hope to god we destroy them.

Fancy the Dippers will be well up for this!

They’ll definitely want to correct that spanking we gave them at home and although it was only Huddersfield, they’ll be buoyed by that result. The atmosphere will be electric and hopefully our players will handle it and we don’t get caught cold like we did last year.

All I really want, is for us to show that we can put on a show away at a big team. We’ve been so poor in these big away games and it baffles me how often we continually put in in these limp performances away at the top teams.

We’ve shown in the past, albeit rarely, that we can put in a performance, so i’m really hoping that we start fast, play smart and be clinical in the way we move the ball around. They’re not the same team without Coutinho but still possess pace and real quality in the final third, so hope we sit a little deeper and drop the 2 DMs a little closer to the back 2/3, as to minimise the space Mane, Salah and Firmino have to work n, big games for the FBs as well.

The form we’re in, I go 1-2.

Do you think we'll play Rose & Aurier for their pace against Mane & Salah?
They didn't play the other day.

I think we pretty much have to play them. Though Davies and Trippier looked good against United, they'll likely be shredded by Salah and co. At the very least one of them has to play imo.

I'd like to see Moura start or at least come off the bench, stick him wide and counter Aaron Lennon style. Give them something different to think about.

rashford, martial, young are no slouches, its more if we set up and play very high like vs united. We were behind the goal we were defending on weds and had an excellent view and the first 20 mins trippier was left 3 on 1 so many times with young, pogba, sanchez before our very narrow midfield got over to help him.Dont think aurier, trippier or kyle walker would make a difference when youre caught like that, its how we are positioned on the pitch rather than personnel is my point..
I have trust in either, trippier played well weds, aurier back from injury,my spidey sense reckons trippier starts??

After that performance I'd be surprised if Poch changed anything unless forced to. They worked brilliantly as an 11 man unit. You might see Wanyama for Dembele (who played 82 minutes). Tripps and Davies are both better suited to defending at away games. I'd be happier with them in the team rather than Aurier getting caught up field by a swift counter attack. They'll all get a week off after this one anyway!

Yeppity. I don't know why folks are worried about Trippier, I don't get that. There isn't much reason to change things much, the blokes who played Wednesday will be buzzing and I expect to see most of them get a rest against Newport, so leave it alone Pochy! Like you say, Wanyama will get some more time - maybe he'll stick Aurier on later if needed and risk a crooked, no way that was a foul you blind fuck ref, red card?

I think Aurier and Rose are both too soon back from injury as well. They'll play against Newport, unless KWP does instead.

Spurs injury latest: Great news. A fully fit squad with Serge Aurier and Harry Winks having returned to full training.

Poch doesn't believe Lucas Moura will be available to play at Anfield. "Yesterday he was doing tests with our sports science staff and medical team. Today he is in Paris doing private stuff. Tomorrow he's back with us. I don't believe it'll be possible for him to be available."

Over on RAWK (yes I know, UNBELIEVABLE) they are suggesting Klippoty-Klopp might pack the midfield with a 5 to nullify us in there, I'm thinking a few balls over the top and flick-ons to runners like we saw the other night might be a worth while tactic, assuming of course this ends up being the case.

Poch has basically said Lucas won't feature. Some kind of odd comments, but seems like he's just trying to lower expectations a little:
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...ikely-to-make-his-debut-against-a3756716.html

Lucas Moura is unlikely to make his Tottenham debut at Liverpool on Sunday as Mauricio Pochettino delivered a downbeat assessment of his £24.5million signing.
Pochettino does not believe Lucas, who was in Paris on Friday attending to personal matters, is yet fit enough to compete for a spot in his starting XI and discouraged supporters from becoming too excited about what he may produce. Lucas has not started a senior game for Paris St Germain this term
Asked whether Moura’s arrival was ‘exciting’ for Spurs, the manager replied: “Exciting, no. We sign a player who was not playing at Paris St Germain and who has not competed in the last six or seven months.
“Lucas Moura is an exciting name for our fans and he came from a big club like PSG but it is different from signing Neymar, Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. My expectation is that the player can help us in the next three months but we cannot put too much pressure on him. He needs to adapt.
“He needs to get to know the players, the league, a new philosophy, a new team. There are plenty of examples of players who needed time here – Heung-min Son, Erik Lamela, Moussa Sissoko. Many players with a lot of quality struggle for six months, a year, to adapt to a team, a club, a league.
“We don’t want to create too many expectations. Then, if Lucas is amazing, scores a lot of goals and we achieve everything we want, fantastic. But if he doesn’t play well from the beginning it doesn’t mean this is a mistake. We have to be calm about what we expect.”
Pochettino also gave an intriguing answer when asked about Juan Foyth’s omission from the Champions League squad for the rest of the season – essentially to accommodate Lucas, under Uefa home-grown player rules.
Foyth has made only five appearances but Pochettino said it was “very painful” to leave the 20-year-old centre-back out and called it “a club decision”.
“It is not only my decision,” he said. “The chairman and the administration, the chief scout. It was a club decision. We don’t have space for everyone in the list.
“Lucas was an opportunity on the last day of the transfer window and we knew if you bring in a player on the last day, we wouldn’t have the space for some players. It’s very painful but when we signed Juan it was as a potential top player for the future.
“He is going to play in the FA Cup and different games and we are so happy with his evolution. It is not a big deal, of course he understands – but for me it is very painful because that situation (Lucas) happened and it looks like we don’t have a plan. But we are a club who signs ‘opportunities’.
“It was a great opportunity for us but in the same way we needed to take a very painful decision.”

You could be right, but Tripps had a tough one against Mane last time out. If we play Trippier and Davies I think we'll have to sit a bit deeper, which is probably what we should do regardless.

I feel we need to sit a bit deeper this time out as Mane ripped us to bits last year with high line defence and they have Salah as well now. If there's no space to fun in behind those two struggle just means we have to be quick in possession and break fast but we've got good results against dortmund, Madrid and Liverpool playing that way this season so we can do it.

I suspect we may play like we did AT Madrid.
Compact, composed & ready to spring.

The players must be on a real high right now.

We start with the same team that beat United. Dier and Dembele in the middle. Good stuff.

Liverpool playing 4-3-3 with Can, Henderson, Milner in midfield. We can deal with that. Lovren and van Dijk at Centre back.

This is on....

What a knee jerk bit of analysis from Redknapp after 8 minutes...”Alli Looking uncomfortable, Pochettino needs to change it up”.

What a load of bollocks! We look nervy at the back with Sanchez and Dier looking very uncomfortable with their backs to goal but it’s a really good game, we look alright just need that goal.

I am going to have a fucking word with them all next week. All this passing back to Loris is getting right on my tits., what is the fucking point? We have got ourselves in all sorts of pickles with that pitter patter bollox, just clear the fucker for fucks fucking sake .Fuck that Salah cunt waving his imaginary card at the ref - I though that was supposed to earn a booking?

Having had that little moan, it's not all bad, we have had some good moments and the game is still there to be won, it's been tough but we have somehow kept the difference down to one. Time to change up a gear. Poch needs a strong word at half time, Davison probably needs a hug and Dier a gentle kick up the arse and everything will be fine, we'll win this, we just need to get the first goal in the 2nd half and they will crumble.
