Wot no Rugby thread? Fucking cracking game - Ireland vs Wales, Ireland won it in a 'Proper Spursy' way, totally dominated the whole game, massive possession but were in serious danger of giving away a draw until the last play of the game. Presuming England beat Scotland late the final game in Dublin wiil be epic!

Well that's a turn up for the doodahs! Scotland were brilliant and totally trounced England - who looked like the old pre-Eddie Jones side - 13 penalties given away and turnovers in the counter-ruck way too way times. Good work Jochs!

Makes it interesting now, England will need to mullah the wotsits off of Ireland (unless Scotland do over Ireland - not happening) earn their bonus point and stop Ireland getting one and win by loads- and that ain't going to happen either, even though I git it wr...., wr... - the final game us at Twickenham.

First half was the worst England performance I've seen in some time. Scotland were better everywhere.

Final game is on Paddy's day as well.

I don't pretend to understand Rugby, but can someone tell me why a hard fought for possession is needlessly given away time after time by a kicker who on receiving the ball punts the ball to the opponents half? It is like saying, we don't want it really, you have it back.

Part of the tactics are gaining territory....a bit like trying to win the all back in the opponents half in football by 'pressing' ....sometimes in Rugby, depending on the nature of the kick it's a good way of pushing an opponent back and possibly gaining territory as well.

OK I get that, but if there is no one but the oppo in their own territory, they will run back towards you while still in your own half, negating most of the gain almost immediately.

Our kicking game was atrocious mate, as @Don Diaz said, it can be a great way of gaining territory but that’s based on kicking the ball into space with a good chase, rather than straight down the full back or wingers throat.

Classic subtitle cock up by the BBC!

owens.png

It should have course read 'Nigel Ownes is a cunt, penalty and yellow card', they'll probably blame that Alexa woman:

Alexa, Is Nigel Owens a gay?
No, Nigel Owens is a cunt

He's not a cunt of course even though he is Welsh, he's a jolly good referee,
