Their front three looked like scoring almost every time they went forward, and this guy Keita they brought in was miles better than Winks/Dier. Liverpool can't sustain what they're doing the whole season IMO--I could see the likes of Mourinho getting one over on them for example--but they looked like title contenders and we looked like pushing for top four. Our CB pairing was the only thing that kept us in that game with one late tackle after another in the second half.

Is it grasping at straws to point out we have more points so far than we had at this point last season?

Re the pen,it was but would have been the greatest undeserved escape..

The lack of depth especially after so many players at the world cup latter stages is hurting us.And then some played international matches this week,son played half a dozen?Our first eleven are good as most,but when fatigue and no competition for key players kicks in,that is the difference between us city/liverpool.

Its a tad reactionary but we have at least 5 players on the books as useless as an ashtray in the carolina`s last night:janssen,Nkoudou,Llorente,sissoko and aurier.Yes we try and support all players but really those 5 I would sigh if they are even on the bench,ok 2 are completely gone (but not sold) the other 3 will start some games and truth be told,thats not good enough if you are chasing the title or trophies.
