Jose following the company line,so seems this how we will operate this winter.

Jose has ended Spurs' interest in Bruno Fernandes: "We're not a club that is going to make big transfers in the market, nor going for players who are already developed... I would definitely say no because Bruno is a player of a level and value that is not for us."

In a way he is right, bloke seems over priced, just signed a new contract £85m clause reported and do we really need another attacking player at this moment?Thats the mistake arsenal and united have been making for nearly a decade, buying wingers, attacking midfielders, not even so much out&out strikers, and not addressing the defence.Which is surely where any money we spend should go?Moura,Dele,Son,kane, parrott even,lo celso and sessegnon havent even played for us yet, lamela and eriksen still in the squad too,if we even get tuppence for baconratboy put it towards a right back or left back, center back or even a defensive midfielder if dier, sissoko, winks, skipp, ndombele arent up to it.

But its not an apology for Levy, because we have waited too long to freshen up the squad, been directionless when it comes to the team,we make signings with one eye on a resale value, that is small club thinking, besides 3 prize assets are about to walk for nothing, how did that work out.

This window lets get rid of wanyama, eriksen if someone will pay and he will agree, perhaps even danny if he cant get his head right,KWP if he isnt going to ever play.

For the love of God.......... NO.
I agree, but a few weeks ago we were saying the same thing about Mourinho.....I guess as long as he stays on the bench and is used for a long ball aerial assault in the last 10 minutes if we're losing - Llorente style, suppose it might be an option. He aint going to cost very much.

So it's no to Fernandes on the basis that he is a developed player BUT yes to Fellaini who is a developed player, 32 years old and a chump?

Fellaini reminds me of a used Q-tip or a chimney sweep.

Please no to him & to Matic.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been keeping tabs on Edouard's progress north of the border, and he's considered a viable alternative to Lyon's Moussa Dembele - who has also been tracked by all three clubs - given his goalscoring prowess.

Thing about Eriksen is he hasn't really deceived the club. He's been saying for 2 years that he won't re-sign, Our failing was not pushing him into a transfer. We should have accepted the first reasonable offer (assuming there was one) and put the onus on him and his agent to reject the move. Then we'd have the leverage going forward. I think Levy assumed he's sign and got burned. Poch seemed pretty convinced he needed to go. And I'm very excited to see we're potentially in for Lemar and Mitrovic. Man we are screwed.

But we tried that with danny rose and that approach failed as well.As it stands players hold the power, especially ones claiming to be ambitious but really are happy to collect huge wages and not play until the bigger payday comes along, even if they waste 2 years of their career. Its lack of charachter, compare how Toby ran down his contract to eriksen and rose.Even if he hadnt re-signed and left for free,he did it with class.

I still feel Levy talking with players about contracts has a negative outcome, clearly the last 18mths Poch wasnt dealing with this,if not Levy then who???Easy to see if your employer treated you like a mere commodity why you wouldnt be so motivated anymore.

But that is indeed what they are, commodities to be bought and sold, and we as fans are no better in the way we treat them. Look at Eriksen, once our most influential player, now most of us can't wait to get rid of him. We're all a bit hypocritical. I still want the bastard gone though.

So just waiting on Piatek to sign? Really don't know much about him, but at least he's young. Doesn't help up from getting overrun in midfield though.
