Well I watched the first couple of episodes last night and I have to say it is fascinating. For those of you who watched Sunderland 'Til I Die, this is rather similar but more concentrated on Mourinho and the players than the backroom workings.

What has surprised me the most so far is the dressing room demeanor of Mourinho. He is a lot calmer and more measured than I imagined him to be. He is brutally honest with the players and certainly has a couple of favourites. His respect for Kane is obvious and he clearly loves Dier.

And I loved the chat about Vertonghen being a "warrior" and a guy who would be desperate to train and play even if he was carrying an injury.

I'm still not a Mourinho fan and likely never will be (unless he wins us the League or the CL) but it is a real fly on the wall look to how the man operates.

Thanks for that Crypty.
Since we didn't set the League alight I was a little leery of how this would turn out.
Your post gave me more optimism.

Mate, just watch it.

It's quite brilliantly done. Mourinho's reaction when he hears that Sissoko holds a lot of influence in the changing room is worth it alone.

And Aurier seems like a lovely guy.

So far the only highlight of Ndombele is in the canteen with a bobble hat and coat on troughing a plate of food,I kid you not.

Not the car crash I was expecting. Fascinating incite into the team.

kane swears a lot! Thought he was a bit more mild mannered. Dier mentioning the long recovery time under Poch was interesting

I saw that! He's in the background scoffing left right and centre, in one scene he comes in to the dressing room post match and straight to his phone! Wtf!

I haven't watched yet, not because I'm taking the principled stand I said I would when they first announced it, but because I haven't been able to find the remote to the Fire Stick. I am officially an old man.

I`m up to episode3,but its all history,i dont think its going to spoil the plot much.I have read most reaction on twatter anyway, seems like that steve hitchen is going to be a popular guy!!
I think people need to be reminded its television, and it can claim to be "fly on the wall",but through peoples changed behaviour, editing, mood music, commentary, its not real is it??You could have filmed the downfall scene and hitler`s final days and make him appear misunderstood,a good guy underneath and thats about the most extreme example I can think of. (yes I am still watching world at war).

My main take so far,is that although Jose comes across as a good guy, there is a huge touch of Mike Bassett about the cliches, team talks, its hardly ground breaking stuff he is putting in to the team. Its nice to see behind the scenes but overall I cant see how taking part in this doesnt fuck you regards being a football team and what really matters,on the pitch.

I haven't started watching it yet, spoil away.....I'm not as arsed about football as I once was. The club, it's attitude and appointments have sucked the life out of it for me at the moment.

Like I said, I haven't seen it yet, but this is the most important thing about all these documentaries, most of which I've enjoyed, actually.

Saying this is reaching levels of cynicism I'd associate with the manager himself, but when I started seeing the trailers for the series, it struck me that Jose views this whole thing as a chance to rehab his reputation, and is behaving on camera accordingly. But as I said earlier, I can't really be critical until I've watched.

Like all drama it needs a victim to feel sad for,a hero to root for, villains to be disliked.
They have certainly followed that format, strange that rose should be the villain they chose, through the magic of editing, selective footage he is the troublemaker and that likeable danish chap got a free pass.Kane and Jose def built up to be the heroes, they like all good films dispatched the victim in the 1st 20mins of the show.I think they were wary of showing anything bad about the chairman who enabled them, footage is scarce, but he comes across how he is,smarmy,arrogant..

So far my biggest thing is the two chaps who are in charge of transfers (seeing as its topical atm) and yes Hitchen can be misquoted a bit about hating the january transfer window, but I have to say I have never seen the 2 people responsible for a job be so negative about succeeding,so unenthusiastic about that role and their chances,They roll out a list of excuses as to why we cant sign players. And it seems pretty much our mode of approach is some bloke on a chair on his phone ringing round,on the off chance someone might be up for grabs or watching sky sports news.A scene with eriksen, they actually expect christian to update them on developments with inter,he just looks bemused as if,you`re meant to be telling me.They even tell eriksen the amount they would take to sell him, almost as if he should tell inter, perhaps all chairman now have Levy`s number blocked??

The whole show though is just missing emotion?maybe that sums up last years season??

We sign Bergwijn, he's sat there with his family happy as Larry and then Levy pops in and says don't let Jose down, lots of pressure now. Tries to make a joke of it and then sods off!
I mean wtf? How about welcome Steven and a smile? It just came across as cringy. Is this how he treats people in his employ? Definitely not a people person.
It just convinced me he needs to NOT be around the training ground.

Oh Levy is a proper cunt alright. Comes across as a nice guy but it's all show and no fucking substance. The more you see, the more you realise that Eriksen didn't do anything wrong. He gave the club heaps of notice that he wanted a change but was still engaged with the club, staff and players until the day he left. He even had a quiet word with the Dane we have just signed by all reports and encouraged the signature.

Mourinho is playing for the camera as stated above and Levy is still a cunt.

Plus Levy is a cunt. Cunt, cunt, cunt.

Still an entertaining watch and all Spurs fans should take a look.

I wasnt digging Eriksen out earlier, just that I am sure they could have made him out to be trouble,if they wanted to pick and choose parts of conversations.Thats what they have done to Rose, longest serving player, wants to play, upset he isnt, yeah he is forthright in his speaking, but they threw him to the dogs.Fucking daft, because there is no way back at spurs now, they damaged the chances of moving him on or hurting any fee they would receive..
All the volatility around the club, sacking a loved manager, new ground,a lot of fans turning against the owners,a very poor season by recent standards and no attempt to get to what is going on at the club, why it is going wrong. It has become the mourinho show,by accident?Where is the master tactician, motivator legend tells you about? Its not shown in this.

It's just another shiny corporate spin programme as far as I'm concerned. Was ok for the first batch of episodes but got boring very quickly.

Agree mate. I am really enjoying it because it is Spurs related but it's not a patch on Sunderland Til I Die. I had really high hopes after the first two or three episodes dropped but I think you have hit the nail right on the head.

I half expect the new stadium to be named Amazon Arena or some such abomination after the final three episodes screen next week.

Watched 3 episodes last night back to back...

First one was emotional, it was sad seeing Poch so lost and almost lonely. Those players, especially Rose, Streaky and to a lesser extent Toby fucked him. Levy is a smarmy, medling, ego maniac who does not like being notnin complete control. How this manager will operate under those conditions could be utterly explosive... how Poch coped for so long.... i don't know.

And then the Jose Mourinhio show started... in all honesty I don't see this magical inspriarion from a seasoned winning manager. I see a man who uses soundbites to morivate and hides behind his "honesty" as a way to denigrate an individual in order to elicit an element of fear and therfore control over the majoriry. Looks like Serge was the target for this treatment.

The side seems disconnected, unconcerned and in all honesty not a cohesive unit. Toby signed a new deal foe security, not ambition. Streaky left and woulsnt reconsider under any circumstances, Kane stands out as a solitary weak voice of desire that is extinguished with the smallest of disappointments on or off the field... its fascinating to watch in an absolutely horrific way. I believe it shows this club in a terrible light and shows that it is a sterile business where the off field and on field activities are not given the same level of management or investment.

I'm gonna keep watching but I don't expect ro see anything new, unique or inspiring.

For me it's Nothing as opposed ro All.
