Hands up,I just loved the result,but who wouldnt??we played how we played,but we won.

Awesome,when will these trumpets who walk out before the final whistle ever learn?best 3 mins in decades,especially with their is this a fire drill song just as we scored the second,i never seen the away mob empty so quickly at full time,fantastic.
We were in the brown eagle 45mins before kick off,right opposite the entrance to paxton and west stand under the new stadium when the escort went through,there was a bit of handbags,easy when you are safely behind the old bill,there were a few skirmishes just after from stragglers not in the police escort,but really it was kids just doing danny dyer impressions,dont really know or heard if it kicked off at park lane,they def wanted to make the most of their last trip to the lane.The result pretty much meant they were outta dodge PDQ and didnt see anything post match.Much beer was drunk afterwards and many songs sung,turned into a 12hr bender,but i needed that i can tell you!!

Sorry I missed you, Colin but I hadn't even left home when you phoned at around 1pm. We got to the Gilpin about 3 and had a couple of pre match beers. Have you anymore games lined up before leaving Blighty?

only if chelsea away comes up,i am back here (greece) before next home match.See you NLD though !!Service in the gilpin was much faster than last year,tbh if it hadnt have changed hands I wouldnt have ever gone back,40mins queueing for a beer,lifes too short!!

Saw it was a bit lively outside park lane before KO,my thoughts are the whole area was nice and calm until they did the ridiculous escort down the high road winding everyone up,dogs snarling,it allows people to hide behind protection and get all brave winding people up further,and the ridiculous line for away fans to get entry outside the bell&hare was always going to end up in verbals and skirmishes.However seeing west ham claiming to be angels in all this makes me laugh,their history even recently makes them a target for old bill and nutters.

Yes the service is brilliant in the Gilpin now and virtually no waiting. Likewise, we moved on to another pub when they closed the Gilpin and had the service not improved we would not have returned.
