Good stuff....remember when we trot out at Wembley tonight in font of 80,000 plus, that will be a Spurs classic photo a few years down the line.....
Triffic picture, not seen this before, story please!
Not sure about this fact but this is what is quotedTriffic picture, not seen this before, story please!
Good effort - I would only be able to name about half I reckon....I wouldn't know Keith Osgood if he fell on me.![]()
Saw this on fb. Brought me right back to my youth. Think its summer 1977 just before we got rid of Big Pat, just about to start life in the old Div 2. Happy to be proven wrong tho. Named them all too, apart from th one between Neil McNab and John Pratt. Micky Stead maybe, not sure tbh
Osgood didn't stay long iirc but took a few pens for us. Centre back.Good effort - I would only be able to name about half I reckon....I wouldn't know Keith Osgood if he fell on me.
Micky Stead, sitting beside the skipper. Cheers mate
They are mate. The memories just came flooding back when I first saw the 77/78 team. The admiral shirt was my first one and it was during that season in Div 2 that we spanked Bristol Rvs 9-0. Brilliant stuff. These are fucking brilliant...!!!
I had the admiral tracksuit top&flaired bottoms.Wish Id kept it,turned out to be iconic.Still got my coq sportif and all the shirts since except the home and sky blue hummels, think i lent em to a bird & lost em.I got another replica admiral a few years back from the club, but they arent the same.Yeah.... before I was born...!!!
I have one of those shirts stored away though... paid a fucking fortune for it.
I lost my centenary cup final white shirt with the circle around the badge, on the middle of the chest? and the two tone Shiny and Matt sky blue one, or was that with the central badge, can't remember now. Still got the rest though and had about 25 scarves at one point...flags, mugs, egg cups, cereal bowl, road sign, grew the grass in a mini stadium, lucky pants and socks (they don't work) t-shirts and polo shirts and Christ knows what else, I've got a Spurs bull dog for some reason... it's bloody madness really.I had the admiral tracksuit top&flaired bottoms.Wish Id kept it,turned out to be iconic.Still got my coq sportif and all the shirts since except the home and sky blue hummels, think i lent em to a bird & lost em.I got another replica admiral a few years back from the club, but they arent the same.

Well... well I've got a Pony with Anderton on the back and my sister had the "Austin' version so there!
Nah, had the 87 Hummell and picture of me as 3 yr old in the Coq Sportive kit but lord knows where that went to. Also had the 87 England kit which is as rare as rocking horse teeth, it had a crew neck button collar. Can't even find a pic of it anywhere but I know it existed as I scored this great goal over the park in it...
Without a doubt the greatest football shirt ever made. Had the boots also. Thought I was Hoddle, with the shirt out over the shorts at the front and tucked in at the back.I had the admiral tracksuit top&flaired bottoms.Wish Id kept it,turned out to be iconic.Still got my coq sportif and all the shirts since except the home and sky blue hummels, think i lent em to a bird & lost em.I got another replica admiral a few years back from the club, but they arent the same.

You tattooed Anderton on a small horses back? The RSPCA will be after you.
My first shirt was the away yellow one that had two blue stripes that went half way down the front. I think it was admiral, maybe coq sportif. Anyway, I suspect it might have been a cheap version, the badge and maker logo were was printed in some type of plastic. Mother ironed it soon after I got it and burnt the cockerel logo off.
I will never forgive her for that.

That's the one in sky blue it came as two tone....those yellow ones above are priceless. Didn't we have a brown concoction one year I seem to remember us playing Reading or Coventry in brown shirts, might have been Admiral....
