Not sure Poch would work again…..some of those players stopped playing for him. Not against the idea, but not sure it would be as amazing as it was.
I don’t recall seeing anybody stop playing for him at all.

Levy employed the life boats too late and it was impossible for Poch to save us with a squad that was cooked.

Some observations from today:

1) Lloris - the opener is 100% on him. It’s not a free kick.

2) the second goal occurred partly as a result of a poor Lloris clearance, Sess getting physically beaten and then Lenglet, who is a terrible footballer, getting absolutely rinsed in what is the worst piece of defending I have seen in many a season. Ben Davies may be a bit vanilla but on his worst day he doesn’t get mugged off like that.

3) Antonio, you have some fucking nerve crying over Newcastle’s time wasting given your comments during the week. Shut your fucking mouth and only open it if you are going to take responsibility for the turgid garbage you have the team playing.

I think this is it. I imagine we all remember the interview where Poch publicly identified the need for a squad refresh and Levy subsequently did fuck all about it.

I think it had a major effect on his passion for the job and that's when things started going downhill to the point Levy sacked him.

I'd like to think today's Poch has benefitted greatly from his PSG tenure and the experience of managing some of the world's best players for one thing. He's also got the trophy monkey off his back as well.

I know PSG were expected to win the league as a bare minimum but it's still a league title whichever way you spin it.

I didn't actually know that Conte's family are still based in Italy and that he apparently flies back after every game. His daughter is in her final year of school so I think that's why they stayed put.

It makes you wonder how much time he actually does spend with the squad each week and maybe if this is part of the problem as well ?.

Maybe the World Cup will be a make or break point?. If the remaining squad goes away for some warm weather training, I suppose it would be the ideal time for a new manager to start working with them.

I want him to succeed because he really is a world class manager but it's not looking good so far.

This is how I feel. I quite like him as well, just seems a honest fellow, and I want him to win. That's very much unlike how I felt about Mourinho--I was actually willing to see short-term failure just to get rid of him.

It's not just that Conte is overly negative. There were times last season when we were exhilarating to watch on the counter. It's that he's so predictable and really never makes substantive changes. I'm seeing some on Twitter pointing to the extra player in midfield he's deployed some of late and saying, essentially, that he should get praise for trying that.

I'm a youth coach at a reasonably high level, but even I, with my limited training, wouldn't expect credit for putting an extra fucking man in midfield. It's not like a tactical masterclass, especially when we literally brought in a guy in Bissouma meant to fill that role.

Ultimately, we will probably finish within one or two places (one of 4-6) of what would be predictable with our financial resources, and that's not what Conte was brought in to deliver IMO.

Reading all the above, I can't say I disagree with any of it...

Especially those relating to our "style" of play and those getting a little nudge on for Poch...

The only fly in the ointment, the pube in your omolet, the persistent floater that will never be flushed, is still present, and therfore I can't see it happening...

Levy is the guy who:-
  • A. Failed to back Poch before.
  • B. Sacked Poch in pursuit of Borinhio.
  • C. Is still a massive thundering cunt of a human who will not ever admit that he was wrong.
Sorry guys I think you're all in a dream world, Poch ain't coming back and neither are the Spurs side you and I all want to watch...

The club are still negotiating Contés new contract, you think he isn't smart enough to sign it, get himself binned after a few more months of tripe performances, and continue to collect his £400k a week until his contract expires...

Come on lads, Rose tinted glasses off and use history to tell you exactly what is going to happen...

Conté signs a huge new deal (masively pissing of Kane BTW) and continues beligerantly as he has always done, players cop the hump and stop putting any type of a shift in and things get even worse...

Levy waits until after the World Cup because some managers may get the tin-tac from there, and around the second week in January, Levy gets a call from the dark Lords super yacht to mildly enquire as to why the share price has dipped.

Levy changes his undercrackers and promptly rounds his inner circle to "assess" his options...

Realising that Sam Allardice and Harry Redknap are no longer available, he refuses to hear any comment about anyone called Mauricio.

He then gets hold of Thomas Tuchells number and we start this bullshit laughing stock merry go round for what seems like the 20th time in my lifetime...

I'm so tired of it all now... its not funny anymore...

Let's start here shal we...

It was fucking ironic yesterday when Cunte and our team where having tantrums about the Jihadi Johnnies wasting time. Karma mate, bites you in the arse every time.

First thing I thought mate when I saw Conte carrying on was “fuck you, you fucking hypocrite.”

Sometimes you reap what you sow.

Thought the Newcastle game was a bit of a paradox. We seemed more attack-minded than of late, with the result that our defending was awful. I didn’t mind the performances from the midfield 3, in fact they all showed how good they could be if they were allowed to play, but I very much minded Hugo and Eric being so careless.

Sonny has reached desperation stage - it’s hard to see how he will get out of this funk without being sat for a good while. He will get there but he’s costing us too much at the moment.

Emerson was…not awful…but only when compared to little Ryan who was dreadful. It’s a mental game at this level and he is not going to make it, I’m sorry to say.

I’m not Conte out yet, but if we continue to follow the rigid plan for which many of our players are entirely unsuited, then my patience will be tested.

To me Ryan looks like a guy who is extremely talented but has schoolboy instincts.

He's tactically naive and at his age it is a concern.

I keep coming back to it—Conte’s system demands so much of WBs, and Sess is one of several who just don’t seem to be able to handle it consistently (I do think he’s been good in flashes)
