Go back in time to the Lane in 1921 and buy shares in a flat cap company:
Or jump forward in time to 2018 when noddy hats are all the fashion o_O

A balanced diet of beer, fags and cigars helped our blokes stay in peak condition:

I had the opportunity of getting an appmt in the Midlands, and so decided to get a ticket for the Way game, against Villa.......it was a midweek game, and I didn't have a jacket, so I had to purchase a ticket and a jacket, that I still have, the old club crest, rarely see the jackets these days, well they are 20 odd years ago.
Seriously can't remember the score, I do however remember this incident, and took this photo a few weeks ago, when doing the stadium tour on the last day of the season !! , was it a foul, yellow or red ?

That's Paul McGrath number 5 so should be easy enough to figure out his knees only lasted two seasons

What's going on in this one?
Well, back in the olden days chaps used to get miffed if their tea was not on the table at 5.30 on a Saturday evening* because their wives were at the Lane watching the footy. These gentlemen would have a couple of sweet sherries then go home and be frightfully beastly to their good ladies, saying they had spotted them on standing on the terraces* and it was a jolly rum do that a chap's tea was not on the table at the correct time. So, the lady types of the female persuasion used to wear these cunning disguises so their husbands would not recognise them.

*For the kiddies - football used to be played on a Saturday afternoon at 3,00 and we all stood on things called terraces.

But, really, apparently there was a gas mask factory at the Lane in WW1.

If you tell the kids of today that you can remember when Madonna played for Spurs they look at you as if you are a senile old git, then you have to kill them.
Was the best testamonial ever, not least cos we got to heap dogs abuse at Brady playing for inter!!In the flesh, maradona was easily the best player I have watched play, amazing skills. He and hoddle was an amazing combination, but guess if he had been english we would play carlton palmer or david batty instead of one of them cos you cant have an all skillfull midfield eh!!
Oh dont forget Kempes played for spurs in a friendly too, thats 4 of the argy world cup winners turned out for spurs!!
