All of this is pretty much inevitable when we have five managers in six years or whatever, especially when there’s no continuity in style, approach, etc. One of the guys who’s apparently in charge of making deals happen has just returned after a lengthy ban and apparently might fuck off for Italy before the window even gets going. There can’t be continuity or strategy under these conditions

It's the drum I've been banging mate... The club is a collosal shit show right now, from the very top...

It's blatantly obvious the kids don't have a fucking scooby what they're doing and that is filtering down as experienced head consistently depart...

We're gonna keep loosing players, coaches, scouts etc etc etc and it's a sign that the new regime is fragile and ineffective...

On New Year's Eve live stream, I commented on Tottenham's proposal for Souza.

The offer was for 10 million euros. Santos rejected it.

As far as I can tell, it's the only official offer that reached the Fish.

Potential FB bullshit, but….

Various sources are stating Tottenham are in advanced talks with West Ham for Lucas Paqueta. The Brazilian was an absentee from West Hams matchday squad today.

Paqueta who grew up supporting Spurs and is still thought to be a Spurs fan is very interested in the move according to these reports.

He would be the sort of player we are desperate for right now. His strengths include:

Versatility: While predominantly an attacking midfielder (No. 10),he can also operate as a central midfielder, winger, or even a false nine, providing tactical flexibility.

Work Rate & Defense: Unlike many creative players, Paquetá is not afraid of defensive duties; he presses hard, tracks back, and wins tackles, making him valuable both in and out of possession.

Definitely a situation worth keeping our eyes on. If we can get him we would be adding some much needed experience and creativity to our attacking options. So I for one hope we get him..

nice to see with the new hierarchy we learned from our past mistakes, bid low for a player until we actually find out what the selling team actually values said player at... insulting the team with "cheap bids" and doing the legwork for other teams to come in and make a real deal...

can't wait for a here we go....

This sounds like one of those relationship ads back in the day: "Danish man, 51, seeks 20+ man for relationship. Must be fit and willing to experiment with passing ball forward."

Keep an eye on Yan Diomande — but probably not for January

When Yan Diomande arrived at RB Leipzig in the summer of 2025, after a €20m (£17.3m, $23.4m) move from Leganes, it was with the expectation that he could become a €100m player within the space of two years. The club were that excited by his talent.

In retrospect, that timeline might have been conservative. Diomande has developed far quicker than could have been anticipated, producing a string of excellent performances through the autumn, earning him December’s Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award and a significant boost to his reputation, both in Germany and beyond.

Leipzig continue to insist that he’s not for sale in January and that, even in the summer, a club would have to produce a truly exceptional offer to sign him — likely in the region of that €100million fee. He’s seen as one of the most talented players the club has ever had. And with a contract that runs until 2030, with no release clause, Leipzig are in an extremely strong position.

It has been suggested that the club will accept a knockdown price. Historically, that has never been the case. Josko Gvardiol (€90m),Dominik Szoboszlai (€70m),Dani Olmo (€55m) and Benjamin Sesko (€76.5m) were all only sold once valuations were met. Even in the summer, Xavi Simons — who only had a year left on his contract (with the option for a further season) — eventually moved to Tottenham for €65m.

Leipzig see Diomande as essential to their hopes of returning to the Champions League and are under no pressure to sell.

So, while Tottenham have paid attention to Diomande’s rise, as have Manchester United and several other clubs in Europe, the chances of the Ivorian moving clubs in this window are small

Souza is open to signing with Tottenham. He likes the option of playing in the Premier League and living in London, in addition to the sports project they present to him. Santos awaits the new offer. It will be almost double the first one (10M€). Busy days.
