2 lines of thought -

1) if you don't punish teams when you are on top, then prepare to get sucker punched

However,

2) if you continue to give a good team chances, sooner or later they'll take one

My hope is that City have put an awful lot into that 1st half and have nothing to show for it. Hopefully they'll tire as the game continues

We have one of these games every season, lucky other results have gone our way.

Overconfident and complacency IMO

Don't know if I should laugh or cry

It's written in the stars for that Man City youngster to score

Form of champions? This is a great point considering how bad we were

Funny old game. The push on Sterling will be all the talk, but City shit themselves again, and we didn't give up. Good point, hopefully Toby will get well soon. COYS.

That was a 90mins as bad as anything we put out in the CL and yet we still managed to haul ourselves back in to it and scrape through with a point.

Phew. A good point snatched. I suppose I could say how bad we were but I have to hand it to Pep, his team were set up well, caused problems for us and must be feeling pretty pissed off right now.

Despite that, when you are under the cosh, you gotta take your chances when you can and we did.

Worth remembering we were away to a team costing 1/2 billion managed by one of the supposed best managers in the world and we get a draw yet feel disappointed in our performance. Says to me that we might be going places.

Got to get back to work so will post later.....but blooooooodddddy hell.....

Daylight robbery from us.

We deserved nothing from that game and pulled out two goals from nowhere with a decimated back line.

A few seasons ago we'd have lost 5-0 with that display.

This time we get a point.

I call that progress....

We were lucky today let's not deny it, they were better and we never got going. But you have to take your chances and they didn't, plus Hugo gifted them one.

Credit to us and Poch for not giving up and the changes. The reminder will do us good ahead of Liverpool, as will two weeks off in Toby's case, with FA Cup next week.

It's turned out to be a good day....looking forward to the updates in the Refereeing thread!!! Happy Days....

Wow. How the fuck did we get away with that? I will definitely take a point there, I would have before the match, but the reality of playing that poorly after our recent run of magnificence hurts. Of course they are human beans and they had off days so I'm not too worried about it. I am worried about this fucking faffing about passing back to and out from Hugo, every other side knows we are going to do it and to be honest we're not very good at it - we will get punished and it could cost us dearly in what will be a very tight top 4 finish this season. I want it stopped.

Mariner was a fucking dildo, luckily the biggest monster dong dildoism was in our favour, I would imagine the City fans are a bit miffed.

We did the exact opposite of what we did at home against them, not sure why but we were lucky to get a point but i will take it

I think the media narrative around them has been a little overblown--City's front four are absolutely top class, and they no doubt had a point to prove today. We were on the ropes for much of the match, but I thought our last-ditch defending, if you will, was top-notch, especially Toby before he went off. Big praise for Victor, who slotted in nicely at CB.

Thought Poch was very brave in his choices today, showed tactically the team can change mid match from 3 to 4 at the back, changing Son for wimmer (who was on a yellow) looked crazy but personnel allowed Dier to drop in to the 4 at the back and allowed Son to score. Then subbing winks on for Toby,I bet other places if they werent so ineptly run that they shut down on the biggest match day would have melted down china syndrome style, yet wanyama was a monster at the back and probably our MOTM? and we didnt concede after, winks was cool as a cucumber and helped possesion immensly.Took guts to put your rep on the line for a kid,how much will harry have learnt from this experience!!
No plan B my fecking arse.

Probably we arent as good as the knee jerking hype&certainly city arent as bad as the kicking they got this week,in their home, under the circumstances of 2 nil down, get a draw,it was miraculous.Yes "jesus saves"........but only when he`s not offside.

Harry Winks had 20 touches of the ball in 26 minutes. He also made 13 passes and achieved 100% accuracy.

Skin-of-teeth.

Citeh were fantastic for 55 minutes. They got their game pkan spot on and didn't alow us to play. The out ran us and out worked us for about an hour.

They let us start playing and the Poch made some changes and we managed to get a point. Think we scored every time we had a shot..... twice...!!!

I don't think it was a penalty anyway, Walker only felt for him and Sterling got confused between going over or taking a shot and did something in between. It certainly wasnt a "push" ....

Besides City's 1st goal was handball and their 2nd was a foul on Lloris as De Bruyne kicked it out of his hands.....

....maybe

Second game in a row that's happened to City. Everton had just four shots on goal IIRC.

We gifted them their goals, no two ways about it and how we got a point from that game defies belief but my god that point could be massive come the end of the season.
I have to agree with @Dorset about this passing back to Lloris caper we have going on, it almost cost us the game in the 1st half. Tbf we should have been dead and buried by the 30th minute ffs. But what incredible character to get the game back to level with them playing well.
Its an old cliché but a top side always finds a way to get a result when they are having an off day and that's exactly what we did. The fact that it was against a top side like the oilriggers makes it all the more impressive imo.

It's OK if a team doesn't press us... it suits our style of play as we draw the oposition into us and turn them easier....

Citeh worked harder and we're set up better, with arguably better players on the ball.

Lloris is not a footballing keeper, he needs to work on his footwork big time if he wants to play that way. Some keepers and decent outfield player too..... Lloris looks shite.

Blimey mate, it must be really hard seeing anything else with them Spurs specs on. It might not have been a penalty as we know Sterling is a sufferer of Ashley Young syndrome and frequently falls over for no apparent reason.
