Leaving myself open here but they're quite easy fixtures so it's more of a guess the correct score this week then??

Thats the thing,i dont bet,or predict,but it always seems easy to pick easy fixtures for results,and yet getting an acca come in is really hard,predictability in football is so random at times,thank goodness.You would think out of 10 games,getting one score right is quite probable,possibly 2 or 3,this thread has shown me even getting one correct score in 10 is a long shot and why bookies have so much money,you never see a bookie riding a bicycle to work eh!!

Laugh? I nearly went to Taunton. Harry's 'true' odds would be about 34/1 if you are interested.

I didnt mind seeing odds posted,but I could never understand the belief it was an actual correlation of what the actual chance was,bookies odds are to make money,entice,spread the risk.I loved the bookies lost because 2 people bet on leics to win the league at 5,000/1,forget all the millions who bet on chelsea,man u city or any of the favourites.Favourites are favourites because of money laid nothing else,yes they have a basis in probability,but a million united fans betting on them being top 4 vs 200k spurs fans betting on us,even points ahead,the bookies will either entice man u fans with long odds or shorten depending if they will lose too much money,OFC you know this!!Someone else doesnt.

Back to this,was ted just lucky once or does he have the seer`s gift?Really its all just a bit of fun,but seeing what goes on here reinforces my belief that if I bet I would lose a shed load!!

I imagine the answer would be "it doesn't matter what the scores are, it's only the FA Cup."

Thats shocking in my mind,yes its a good default position to other fans if you go out,but in advance,nah.I guess having no "soccer" heritage,these younger american fans just dont get secondary and tiertiary competitions,when you have a dozen franchises instead of 92 clubs I guess it doesnt compute.

Probably why these melts just want to argue the toss with spurs fans,back in my day you just argued the toss with arsenal fans,chelsea,west ham,liverpool fans,well not actually chelsea they didnt exist then or at least chelsea fans didnt,cant remember meeting one til after 2003 and he was swedish!!

That makes me grumpy that does. I think so many of them want soccer to be a sterile, scientific exercise. They want to believe that Duels won, Yards travelled and all that old malarky actually mean something.

I feel sorry for them really. They will never experience the raw tribal passion most of us feel. I love the FA Cup so much, it's beautiful, a great beautiful cup, 100%. I will be so happy if the scum get wiped out, so happy, because they are a fake team, I will be happy when they lose, fake team. Hope Wycombe have a nice day out on Saturday and we don't beat them by too many, but beat them we must.

To be fair, I may have been a bit generous towards Palarse and I think you might be right with 4-0 spurs.
