Newcastle been given a year to break the new PL rule about away fans pitch side, something about unsafe and segregation, well close the olympic stadium then for starters. So once again away fans at st james hidden up the top tier, not right IMO.

Surely the season when they weren't in the prem was the year they should have been given, not a one season grace

The rule was introduced because, in the words of Premier League chief Richard Scudamore: “One of the unique things about our game, particularly in England, is the amount of away fans and the noise they create. When an away goal is scored, you want that atmosphere and interaction between the two sets of fans.”

Ha ha ha 'interaction between the two sets of fans' abuse and vitriol??? or 'Bants' as we call it these days!

'You're fuckin shit' repeat etc. ha ha, interaction and atmosphere, brilliant.

Seems a bit daft, the FA Rule. AT least 'one block' of way fans pitchside, how big is a block? You could knock out few seats. and have a block of two seats. I have always thought is was mental to have away fans sitting above home fans, they can and do throw things at the folks below

It's lethal at Newcastle. The drop from that terrace to the crowd below is pretty large. If a home fan had a coin or something dropped on their noggin they'd sure no all about it!

If it was one of those chicken balti pies I'd have had it out of the air on the way.

That sir is exactly what happened! Someone on the row behind stuck his hand out and caught it, the thing exploded about half a metre from my head and showered me (and my ear) in mashed potato filling, I was picking chunks of carrot out of my hair for ages afterwards!
