They had better get a move on, Blatter is 85 and they way these things drag on he'll be 127 before they lock him up. These two are just the tip of the corruption shitberg. Next year in Qatar we will see one of the biggest examples of wonga trousering ever seen in the World, when will all the crooks involved in that be charged?

The new FIFA and UEFA regimes are as bad as the old. Disgraceful really, there must be decent non-corruptable people in football surely. I mean they moved the Champions League final to Portugal, because they relaxed their Covid rules for a week to allow the UEFA dignatories to fly in and out without quarantining. The UK wouldn't allow it, so the massively obvious choice of Wembley or Old Trafford, wasn't allowed.

I hate it.

Only way this means anything is if they both sing like fucking canaries and keep singing until their days are numbered.

It's right and proper that this should happen, but the arrests and prosecurions should not stop with these two. The proliferation of corruption, especially in the Premier League today needs addressing.

This is good news, but a day late and a dollar short. The new crop is no better, and the best we can hope for is for them to be thrown to the wolves as sacrificial lambs so Gianni-boy can say he cleaned out the stables.

But, here's hoping they have a few unpleasant days ahead of them. There's that.

The fact since the announcement that Qatar will host the World Cup that there has been an estimated 8000 migrant worker deaths in that country, with over 40 directly employed in building the World Cup stadiums and that this is barely a story is a disgrace. Those numbers should be shouted from the largest megaphones available every single hour of every single day. The systematic human rights abuse in that shithole country is inexplicably swept under the rug.

The 2022 World Cup sits comfortably atop the stinking pile of most morally reprehensible sporting events ever to take place in modern times.

Will anything happen? probably not.

We, at least I, complain about FIFA going to WC's every 2 years for money. UEFA would do the same with the Euro's if they had thought of it first.

Money sucking it out of everything.

While we are talking abotu corruption:

England defender Conor Coady has revealed he and his teammates will discuss how they can use their platform to highlight Qatar's horrendous human rights record after they secure World Cup qualification.

That's too fucking easy - don't go. No civilised country should take part in that farce, just as no civilsed human being should accept murdering tyrants owning a Premier League club. Boycott Qatar.

100% agree.... however it does hold the FA and Fifa more to ransome if a qualified team causes a fuss about it...

I have to be honest, if our team turned round and boycotted the entire tournament it would go some way to rekindling my interest in English international games.
