There was a perfectly good Greek Aussie in charge, a serial trophy winning manager who got us long overdue silverware after the injury season from hell.

No we have a dumb Dane with great hair but fuck all else that sets him apart. I might be wrong but I am pretty sure he never took Brentford to a top half finish so I have no fucking idea how he got the job in the first place. Brentford have improved since he left despite losing their two best players.

I don't think Frank is dumb, I think he's struggling for exactly the same reason Ange struggled, which is that he doesn't have a good squad of players to work with. When consecutive managers with different styles are getting the same results, there's something deeper going on.

Both Ange and Frank could've done better for themselves, but neither has much to work with, or to put it another way: both have struggled to stay competitive with squads with massive holes, and with players that don't really fit how they want to play.
