Maddison in the postgame when asked what he said to Maupay:
He hasn’t scored enough goals to have his own celebration, so he had to copy mine!”

Just as I was about to hit "Post reply" for Toney missing a sitter:
"What a miss by Toney. Then again, he probably bet that he would.
bad joke? "

Seconds later he scores.

Very satisfying to get it over the line and back in the top 4. I suppose Udogie kind of summed up how we've been over the last few months - absolutely rank at times but also quite brilliant.

I get that people want to see better game management and more pragmatism when we get a lead but fuck that. It has never been more fun, in my 43 years following this club, than it is right now.
Agree, but a trophy by the end of next season would be nice too.

For me, that's a by product of doing things right... Remember how shit it was under FAG, That Cunt and Cunté... It was literally anti football and I couldn't watch it. It meant nothing to me.

And then Ange simply makes us play football, all out attack football where the players know, we know, the opposition know, every cunt knows exactly what we're going to do and it's the other mobs job to stop us... It's fucking brilliant. It's obnoxiously aggressive... And I fucking love that...!

I'll fucking take that every day of the week, I'll excuse the odd performance hiccup from individuals and just enjoy how it pans out.

Couldn't agree with you more mate, this is brilliant. We're all buzzin again. I'm happier than I've been since Bale made shit of Maicon.
All I'm saying is I'd love and hope that by the end of next season, it would be nice to win something playing football like this as opposed to if we won something under JM or Conte where we sat back at home to a Palace or a Forest.
Hopefully it'll happen for Ange. He'd deserve it. The others didn't.

There are times when I feel a little bit of pragmatism is necessary but Ange has embedded this fearless style of play through repetition. Yes, our hearts may be in our mouths when we are playing tiki taka in our own box while being pressed but that's what these players have been conditioned to do. It's become routine. No sweat. No alarm bells.
He's not only changed the players' mindset, he's erased the passed 4 years from their memory. We, as fans, just have to do the same & trust the process.

If there's going to be style & glory, Ange is going to bring it. It's what we're about, right?

Listening to him talk I really think Ange sees staying true to his footballing principles as pragmatic. He just seems convinced that his approach is the best way at the end of the day to win football matches. I don’t get the sense that he thinks of himself as an idealist like, say, Bielsa does.

Fucking blimey, we wouldn't want to play those dirty cunts too often. How the fuck did they only get 3 yellow cards? Collins, Norgaard and Maupay should have all been watching the rest of the game in the dressing room - especially Norgaard. A really good effort from our boys, that could have got very ugly but they kept their heads and got us a deserved 3 points.

It was almost like Norgaard had plans for the weekend or something. He was trying to get sent off, but no.

I wanted somebody--maybe Frazier Forster--to punch Maupay in the face at full-time. Their level of shithousery reminded me of Juventus in the CL several years ago.

Worth looking at .. Phillips (shocker..) diving before Richarlison chipped their goalie. Perfectly good goal ruled out.

It does appear that Richy does NOT touch/clip him. Surprised Richy didn't protest.

Guglielmo Vicario on what he said to Ivan Toney at full time: “He was talking to me a lot during the match. When it was over, I just told him I hope he didn’t bet on that result.”
