Oh I fucking hate losing to Chelsea, we play well and just come out on the wrong side somehow.

On the plus side met some great lads from this parish and shared about 5 Guinness so not a disaster!!

So fucking frustrating! Worked so hard to get that thoroughly deserved equaliser, after what was an extremely stubborn and resilient performance from those wanky chav cunts.

Hugo I love you but I'm equally mad at you right now, almost as mad as Vic and Eric drove me thru the 1st half with the amount of passing back, when if they'd have just looked forward once in a while, they'd have seen teammates sitting in pockets of space behind their defensive lines.

We have to allow Hugo the occasional slip up mate, he is just a human bean. Over in numptyland there are numpties actually calling for his replacement! Obviously there are other numpties saying some very silly things about Wanyama - who if I recall correctly was quite good last year? maybe I have him mixed up with Sissokko like the very silly chap on Twitter did, that was funny. Wanyama is is obviosuly not fully fit, but the Poch doesn't really have the luxury of dropping him at the moment. I think we need a stronger squad and I as always will blame Levy 100% for us not having one, if we can't field a 100% fit team on day 2 of the Premier League then we are doomed. Wanyama is a beast when he is fit, but....

I am not disappointed with the performance, if we play like that we will beat most teams in the Premiership. We have to remember that the dirty cheating chavs are the masters of bus parking and scoring on the counter - and despite them being 'weakened' they are the Chumpions and can still field a stronger side than we can. Like I said, I reckon we need a stronger squad because even though that performance would see us win 90% of games, if the blokes are crocked then it ain't happening - unless of course the Poch has completed his Bionic Man work on Harry W and Georges Kevin and trusts them. Sissokko? Dunno, I don't like to slag players off but I haven't seen anything yet to give me a warm fuzzy. I don't know if we'll ever see Lamella again, I hope so because I still see a great future for him. Ben Davies looked good again I thought, but when has a left sided Welsh bloke ever been any good?

9 time out of 10 we would have won that game, and there will always be a strong element of luck when bus parkers park their dirty busses, we didn't get the luck, they did.

I completely agree with everything you've said mate. I love Hugo and as you said he's most certainly allowed the odd mistake, the amount of points he's gained us over the years far outweighs the losses, but I had to blame someone, as I can't possibly credit those wanky Chavs for the way they set up!!

With Vic, I utterly love the guy, he was immense last season and his role is to harass and destroy the opposition and he's as good as anyone in the pl at doing that, I was just slightly annoyed at the lack of vision at times from him during the match but that's not his role, so I shouldn't really have a pop at him on that front. However, young Eric who I do like a lot and the flexibility he brings in terms of the roles he can fill is clearly a big bonus but if there's one player we could upgrade on, it's him for me, for me he's starting to feel like a Huddlestone type player, a bit slow, gets caught in possession and sometimes doesn't see a simple pass which could sometimes have a bigger impact on a move than these long killer passes he tries to make. I wouldn't want him to leave coz of the influence he has on the team and his versatility but I just feel we could do better than him, In fact I'd almost prefer Winksy over him...controversial shit!!

young team,an experienced side would have just pushed the same way as the first 70 mins,instead we went gung ho,hugo rolls the ball out quickly,wanyama allows a simple interception trying to find sissoko who was in acres of room on the right (had he made it a good counter was on),then the whole team is out of shape,dembele is the one in the box trying to stop alonso,back 4 isnt set and hugo makes a howler.Its the press transition that serves us so well being served up back to us.We gave them the winner trying to be ambitious,dont mind that,but maybe with a bit more sense to the danger.
Thought wanyama had his worst game for us,wasnt in the groove,maybe back in too soon after injury?

Wouldn't have been an issue had Vic tracked Alonso's run into the box for the winner, rather than sticking his arm in the air looking for an offside flag!

I agree he didn't look fully fit, bottom line we played well enough to win. Came up against a team that were set up like a relegation threatened side, so although the loss bothers me, coz of my hatred for those Chav cunts and the media using the Wembley factor for their own shits and kicks, we're still a top side and with a few more additions, we'll be there or thereabouts in the title race.

Well that one hurt. At HT I felt that if we managed to get an early goal we would go on to win 2 or 3-1. But the equaliser came too late and instead of having 20 or so minutes to slowly build up for a winner we had to push just too hard.

Wanyama probably had his worst match for us but he's been so consistently good for us you can't stay angry for long. For me, it was more a case of him trying to make things happen with the ball at his feet and getting caught out in doing so. But that's not really his job, he should be giving it quickly to someone with a bit more creativity on the ball. Could have been too soon for his comeback.

Hugo should have saved the second but like others have said, he has kept us in so many games you can't slate the man too much for making one mistake. Still the best keeper we have had in a very long time.

I felt we should've have made the Son change sooner as we were looking out of ideas of how to break down an organised Chelsea. I'd have considered bringing on Winks too. Aside from Wanyama nobody had a particularly bad game. I think if any one of the attacking lads had put in an outstanding performance then it would have been a different final score. Gutting but still gave me some confidence that Wembley won't be all bad. That performance against majority of prem teams we would have won.

As it's still the transfer window, a note on our squad.. I do hope we bring in another creative attacking player. okay we had son to come on but in our more regular formation he starts. Janssen and Sissoko are uninspiring options, neither are going to unlock the door or produce some magic if we are struggling to break a defensive team down. Lamela would be but nobody knows what he will be like having spent much time out, relying on him to be our creative option from the bench is a big risk. Other than that I think our squad looks good with cover everywhere. Just need to make a decision on trusting Walker-Peters or bringing another RB in.

Yeah Im a big fan of wanyama,maybe lack of game time against quality and an overloaded midfield just hurt us this week.Pretty sure if Dier hadnt been on a yellow he would have stayed on?

Well with 21 hours of travel and a loss it's safe to say work today was brutal!!

We dominated possession all over the park. Absolutely ridiculous. We were rusty in forward positions though. Dier definitely needed to stay on. Wanyama looked like a beaten docket 60 mins in.

Anywho nice to meet a few of the lads off here and have a bit of crack and a few decent plastic cup Guinness!

It's bonkers mate the expectations some blokes put on Hugo, he makes hundreds of world class saves and they just accept it because he's Hugo, he makes one cock up (apart from his fecking awful kicking and distribution) and he's public enemy number one.

The faffing about and shocking distribution, passing out from the goal stuff irritated the bollocks off me over the last couple of years, I even had a heart attack screaming at the telly in January 2016, but, as much as I hate it, it does NOT cause us problems. We conceded 26 goals last season which is the lowest any side has recorded since United in 2009, Hugo played a huge part in that, as did Toby, Jan, Ben, Kieran, Victor and all the others, I will not include hissing Sid and that bloke who left, they are dead to me.
