We got the points is all that matters!

Great strike from Eriksen. We struggled through parts of that game whilst dominating possession but I felt we played with more purpose in the second half.

Up next the scum!

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was unbelievable. Very good performance. I think second half we played much better than in the first half. It was difficult in the first half for us to move the ball and find the space but we changed the shape at half time and it was more fluid, we started top find the space and started to push Palace deeper and deeper.

"It was good to get the three points and be alive in the race for the title. The challenge is to keep going. It is always better to win but it is true [the Arsenal game] is a big derby, perhaps the last at White Hart Lane and I think it will be an exciting game.

"I am very pleased for Christian Eriksen. I need to see the goal on television but from my position it was a great goal."

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, speaking Sky Sports: "It is unbelievable. This is a tough place to come and we had to keep fighting. We knew our time would come and what a strike by Christian Eriksen.

"We knew we had to bounce back after the weekend and what a performance by everyone. We knew we had to dig deep and get a goal. It was a perfect win in the end.

"We can't focus on Chelsea. We have five tough games, we have to win them to have a chance and hopefully we can do that."

Christian Eriksen: "We struggled with some parts of our game, we didn't have many chances but luckily we scored with the one we had.

"We played more attacking in the second half which gave us more chances and I think we did very well."

He flies under the radar a bit with most people but Eriksen is a wee fuckin genius. Brilliant form atm but to be fair he has been incredibly consistent from the day and hour he came to us. At the least on a par with Silva and that google eyed freak isn't fit to lace his boots.

He makes the whole team tick, MOTM last Saturday, delivered a really huge win tonight. Massively important to the team

Absolutely mate!

It's actually amazing how many fans take him for granted, ppl talk about how much a weaker team we are without Harry, Toby, Alli but Eriksen is the heartbeat of the side, he's the unsung hero!

Combined goals and assists over the last 3 years in the pl...

Ozil 57 (£42.5 mill)
Eriksen 51 (£11.5 mill)
Hazard 50 (£32 mill)
Silva 41 (£24 mill)
Coutinho 39 (£8.5 mill)

Ozil had a ridiculous 19 assists last season and what a bargain Eriksen was and Coutinho as well to be fair.

Lot of moaning and whingeing about that game - I don't get it. It was a proper old-fashioned game of football, Palace were very physical, some tough tackles were flying in but we dealt with it really well. I really enjoyed it. Yeah, John Moss is a bit random, some of his decisions baffled me, both ways, but we have to beat the opposing team and the ref sometimes and that's what we did. In the olden days we would have gone all umpty after a FA Cup disappointment and a couple of shit referees but the new Spurs seem to have the right attitude.

Some twats are slagging Walker for being bossed by Zaha, but seriously, how fucking good was Wilf last night? Apparently Fat Sam has said he would cost us £40m, that could be a bargain in today's stupid money football world. Obviously because he is on fire with Palace doesn't mean he could reproduce that with us or any other team, but he really does look the very bollocks of the dog at the moment and I don't think Walker or anyone else could have dealt with him last night.

Obviously over in Numptyville they think we should have crushed a 2nd rate team like Palace, but we know that a team that has beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool this month are on a run of tremendous form and it was always going to be tough, so 3 points last night is fucking yuge. The gap is maintained after the scum got a flukey winner in the 87th minute - again!

We mustn't ever forget some of the relatively recent past in this brave new winning, free goal scoring, exciting football world of ours. It's only been a couple of years and already the new mindset is utter doom and gloom when we lose and sometimes even draw. We feel like we are going to win every game - I've never known anything like it. This is particularly amusing and prevalent in the former cave, where the negative soothsayers, most of whom were predicting a lucky top 6 finish a couple of years ago and didnt want Poch can't quite cope with it.

Quite funny really, they don't know how to be happy, what a weird world for a bunch of wankers.

One game at a time, keep going lads, brilliant stuff.

What a gooooooooooooooaal but FFS why couldn't we have a pop outside the box against the Chavs. We have scored some scorchers from outside the box over recent games. My neighbours must have thought I'd gone mad when we scored. Thought I was going to do a @Dorset . Well done lads and I loved Poch's celebration. Don't you just love the guy X

What do you mean by 'do a Dorset'? Nobody 'does a Dorset' mate, I am unique. Don't forget I know where your secret corner in the Gilpin is, you can't escape.

It was a great goal eh? I would have give Christian the MOTM award even without the goal, he was tremendous, yuge, beautiful.

I know, I tried so hard to hide from you in the Gilpin. Be great to see you back there, m8 with your usual pint of sherry. But I won't tell Mrs Dorset.

I don't think I'll make it this year so it will have to be 2019, yeah like I'm going to be alive that far in the future when all those hover cars are zipping around and we are controlled by alien super-beings! I'll see you at Wembley next year for sure - touch wood.

And, lest people forget, it's not like Palace, including Zaha, scored or even created more than one or two clear chances. Bent eke spent his whole time on th pitch starved for service. People making a big deal of it because it feeds into two media narratives, neither of which would be bad for us: 1) that we're going to spend big money on Zaha in the summer; and 2) that Trippier is pressuring Walker to be first choice.

Not sure if Zaha is a Poch type player, however we will know if he chooses to go after him in the summer or not.

It is quite a nice feeling knowing we have probably 2 of arguably the best RB in the PL in our squad. The other week Keown said he felt both Walker and Tripper should both be in the England squad. He is correct.

Enjoyed the game in a weird way, especially after Saturday's bullshit. Didn't think we would lose it but did wonder if it was going to be one of those nights.....of course not, not when you have the magician in the team (I prefer puppet master). What a cracking shot that was.

Christian Eriksen deserves every ounce of credit that is coming his way at the moment. He took some awful stick by our own fans (popped over to the asylum and they are still going on about his contact ) and he's been playing brilliantly for ages, as a club we often take his work for granted and imo deserves just as much credit as Harry and Dele. He should be in for a shot at player of the season at Spurs....at least I think so.

Onto Sunday now...

Let's all give it to Sissoko, so he'll always remember us fondly as we wave goodbye to him in the Summer!!
