Steve Hitchen needs to be sacked, about 3 years ago, he’s a Levy yes man and responsible for the total failure of our player recruitment over the past 4 seasons. Totally useless- totally
Agree with every word of this. The cunt has made a career out of "helping" to sign Suarez for Liverpool and he's been an utter, abject failure everywhere he's gone since then. I seem to remember reading something that said from the time he joined Derby, his recommendations and signings meant they finished lower in the league than they did before he joined as head of Player Recruitment.

Paul Mitchell brought Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld to the club and Levy thinks "How can I replace him ?". Steve fucking Hitchen !.

I can only speculate that Paratici was told he'd have to work with Hitchen instead of bringing in his own people.

He must have pictures of Levy and Prince Andrew on the piss...

I am not going to name names (players). A lot of what is coming out is accurate to a point. Agents and selling clubs contacting us and others. They then leak info that we are ‘considering’. Be very careful 😉

Mike McGrath does not tweet bs!

We are talking. Very close. But! We have not officially bid! Will bid, when we believe they will accept. Mendez behind these leaks, which is pissing us off. Extremely close now, as Mendez do not want to loose his relationship with us.

It is extremely clear and apparent that we have interest in J David. Would not bank on it though.

- As I mentioned yesterday, we do still expect to bring 3 in.

- We don't believe we've missed our chance with Vlahovic although I understand that was AG's opinion rather than the clubs.

- Unlike previous windows, we do have interest in most of the players we are looking to shift. Ndombele, Gio, Tanganga & Dele all have serious interest and if we can line up the players we want, I wouldn't be surprised to see all leave this month with most being on loan with ideally an obligation.

- Hitchen and his team continue to scout the lower leagues and most of the names are already out there as to who we have an interest in. I'm so happy we have adopted this model again as it was successful for us in the past.

Let's not panic just yet. Conte has made it very clear who he wants out of the club and isn't messing around. If the club don't listen, then we will have expensive acquisitions not making the matchday squad which is something we can't afford to do.

We all want to see players coming in now, but as we all know, the market isn't easy in Jan and all clubs are struggling. So I'll judge us at the end of the summer rather than a weeks time.

We want to bring in 3, and are still aiming to do so. Doesn't mean it will happen though lets see if FP has a bit more about him as regards pushing deals through than Levy did.

Trying still to bring in 3.

Interest in........

Italy and Spain for Gio
Rodon 2 Prem clubs and on EFL side
Ndom to PSG looking closer as of yesterday
Dele has had a number of clubs interested.

It's imperative, if we can move these on we absolutely have to. They have been consuming wages for years without repaying anything on the pitch. That's why they aren't being picked, as an injury could see them being here for years to come, if we don't shift them when opportunity is there.

AC was happy to keep GLC(but not against him going) as he hasn't really had the chance to fully assess. It's believed though that regardless of whether we keep him or not, he won't be first choice so better to let him go if we have a suitable offer and bring someone else in that will push that first team starting place. His injury record is abysmal and with his international status, it's just not something we can build on long term.
I think the key here is how good FP is at shifting out the dead wood. There is a lot of money in wages sat around twiddling their thumbs right now and although there is money to spend bringing in 3 and not moving players out will be harmful in the long term.
I'll also add (opinion) Traore should be done early this week, and the final 48 hours will be busy in and out.

*Traore was not done as of last night.
Oh I'll also add, we are looking to tie up specific out of contract players and short length contract players in the Summer, this has a knock on effect to what we do now as with these in mind we want to achieve a squad balance and not just shift the lopsidedness to another area.

Its all about being ready for next season👍

I know you’d like that but….will tomorrow be Traore Tuesday
If the opportunity exists, We MUST get rid of Ndom, GLC and Dele, they are raping our budget

Well from my understanding that's not correct. Doesn't change the fact we do need to clear some of these out asap. It's still a lot of money sat at home every Sat/Sun playing Fifa.

Well like I say as far as I've been told we don't need to sell to buy. As for the other bit's that's just January all over. Unless you are prepared to over pay or the selling club is desperate to get rid cheaply the last week is where it is always going to be done.

Secret Squirrel
Training Ground
This morning

Dele is going to Newcastle, he's told his friends and has bought a bag of nuts from my shop for the journey. The Wolves sub is coming but Levy is haggling over the train fare from New Street to Liverpool Street, we can save £7.10 if he goes 1 stop via Reading. I also hear that we might want to buy some others for next to nothing and sell a few ridiculously overpriced players with marginal ability to Newcastle and European clubs. I can't tell you any more until it's confirmed in the media though - then I can say I told you so.

The squirrel is normally my go-to ITK source, but this is just Hercules-level bullshit. If Levy were in any way serious about signing him, he would have been all over the Wolves team coach dropping Adama at Hanger Lane when they were in Brentford.

Is there a train tracker website ?
Yes there is, and it's free! https://track-trace.live/trainradar/

Fairly confident two of the three main out's will go as they are getting close, along with Joe who also has a few clubs interested in taking him.

I can't keep saying it enough. Think of the bigger picture boys and girls. This is being done over 2 transfer windows. We need X amount of pieces to finish the puzzle. It may be a bit of a hindrance in the short term not to get them in priority order but it might make things far easier in the long term if we get more difficult pieces in now because they are available now.
