What is obvious from this performance is,Kane,Lloris,Toby;dier are the leaders in the team.Hojbjerg,ndobby and lo celso ,even Son who is class,just arent the ones you would want to be in the trenches with.That midfield is what a lot of fans say is our best,but longing for lo cleso and ndobby to be class doesnt make it so.
What was worrying if you look at their 2nd goal,firstly Son ducked out of a reasonable 50/50 header,bale didnt give a fuck tracking back and doherty completely pulled out of a tackle.All of that in 10 secs.
If it is a case as Jose says they think they are too good to be playing in these grounds against these opponents then god forbid the cup qtr final away at stoke on a weds last game before xmas..Yes its an unglamourous tie to play in,but fuck me they dont earn less and that is the attitude that means we will carry on winning F-all.Have we settled in to names that will def play and they feel safe?cos I didnt see much from that midfield after two hard,hard games against city and chelsea. where they worked hard as a unit.
This lack of motivation in games is a worry,because it is mindset that holds us back.

But imo that why the kids should play these games.... kids who are hungry as fuck and willing to put it all out there and lear and grow and force their way towards the bigger games.... we need kids

True,isnt that why Dele is out of the picture?I guess we will see tomorrow whether this puts a fear into how we play on sunday or a focus.All teams have bumps in the road,but this lineup was as balls deep strong as you could wish for in this part of the competition.By that I mean mostly midfield which should have been able to run the show,but couldnt run a bath during this match.I dont really hold jose responsible for the poor performance,this was on the players.Dont moura,doherty,davies,sanchez,tanganga,lo celso have points to prove,because they just reinforced that they are not in a starting XI.We have had an intense schedule,lets hope we just took a breather.
