That was an intense match. Clearly no one wanted to lose it in the 1st leg, so I guess it was understandable that it lacked real quality in the final third. Thought we defended really well and tactically we were setup brilliantly. I never felt worried after the pen.

Gutted about Harry (Delph’s challenge was particularly unpleasant and they were very lucky to have 11 men on the pitch at the end) and felt a little flat after that for a bit but Sonny seems to excel in Harry’s absence. Anyway, great resilience and character from the boys.

I absolutely agree with the pundits that Harry needn’t have made that challenge. I saw him going in for the tackle and thought Noooo! Tough though, when you’re as passionate as he is and the adrenaline’s pumping, but i’d have thought when you know you’ve had ankle issues, it was just an unnecessary risk, middle of the pitch on the touchline, oh well, just hope it’s not too bad, have my doubts though.

Yeah, really bizarre mate, they were so defensive and showed zero ambition for pretty much the whole game. Bringing on KDB and Sane in the 88th minute says it all really.

Great all round performance.

Thought Alli was particularly good. Got at the whole game. Defense played a top notch game to. Didn't let them get at us to much.

Harry's injury is annoying. Personally didn't think Delph did much wrong. They both went in strong. Unfortunate for kane. Defo a bad one. They had him down the tunnel in seconds.

Top drawer from the support aswell. Loud all night, but stepped it up when we needed that final push.

Sons goal aswell just shows what can happen when u don't give up on what looked a lost cause.

My only gripe as always was eriksen hitting the first man every single time we got a dead ball. Give the fooking thing some height damn it!!

Is that based on any medical report or just a throwaway line at this stage?

Poch`s initial reaction, they will wait a few days and scan.He left on crutches and a protective boot, but thats quite normal regardless of injury extent.

It's a huge loss. The guy is in the top 5 players in the world but we should all take a lot of heart in what Son offers in Kane's likely absence. We'll set up to counter and I really think we can get a result. City are a typical bully and when good sides stand up to them they have shown a propensity to crumble.

As to the rest of the League season, our fixture list is reasonable enough. I think we'll bank enough points to finish in the top 4.

Just back from the Lane, what a fucking night, we worked so hard for the whole game and thoroughly deserved that win. Arrogant City bastards, their support was shite ours was magnificent for the whole game. We’ll deal with the issues, win on Saturday and draw at the Etihad. Brilliant night

COYMFS! What a night! What a win. Delph's a cunt for even attempting to tackle Harry. He should have been sent of for gall. Have a hunchie we are going to blow their doors off in the reverse. Think we'll be able to grind out 5 wins in the league as well. Awesome support tonight. Cheers to all who went.

It’s disgusting, isn’t it?

We’ve lost the plot with VAR when it isn’t being used for this sort of filth. Had that been me instead of Harry, I would have ended up with a long suspension because I would have gotten up and smashed the dirty cunt.

What the fuck are the officials doing?

I have said this for a while, so it's not just a reaction to this incident but it beggars belief that major leagues don't do match reviews for off the ball incidents like they do in other sports.

Yep, I don't get the Delph hate, 6 and two threes for me that one. In a fair world where VAR was used properly and the ref wasn't a pussy City would have been down to 9 players, Fernandinho of course, dirty fucker that bloke and Ottamendi could have got 11 yellow cards - well at least 2!

Fantastic from Sonny, never giving up and scoring while the whingers were all waving at the ref that the ball had gone out, nope, that Sonny was offside, nope. Brilliant performance from the whole team, tough, tough, tough - deserved win. It's going to be even tougher in the away leg next week but if we can grab an away goal then they need at least 3.

After all that bollocks I wrote about always playing the best team in every game, I wouldn't be very upset seeing a B team on Saturday. What a fucking hippycrit!

What an amazing performance that was! Feel fucking knackered after the drive to Tottenham and back yesterday but that soooooo worth it. I enjoyed the palace game last week but felt we really christened the place yesterday, the atmosphere was up there with best I've experienced. Gonna try to find a decent set of highlights with English commentary now. Anyone hear of a ticket for the away leg give me a shout.
