Someone called Mkhatarayan as the key....seems so far that's about right. We are a long way from being out of this though, apart from about 10 mins in the middle of the half, we've looked decent and finished the half well. Just need to create a few clear cut chances a bit more incisive maybe. C'mon lads let's do this...

They will park up and bring us on to them,if eriksen, son or alli can find a spark we can get in,if not winks needs a shout.Disappointing that we are giving the ball away to create their chances. If we get the next goal we will win this.

Very flat performance. Disappointing. We looked like we played in Ukraine on Thursday.

Honestly didn't think we were that bad and very energetic in the last 15 minutes pushing hard for that equaliser. Loved the running performance of Sissoko and Harry W never appears to lose possession.
Right up to the final whistle I thought we had a chance of hitting the net.

To be more specific, thought we lacked a bit of an edge and were a little ponderous in the attacking third. For all our possession, by far our best chances were from set pieces, and they were generally able to get men behind the ball and close us down when we'd string 2-3 incisive passes together.

Not faulting the effort or energy, we had the lion's share of possession, put in challenges all over the pitch and we were first to most of the 50/50 balls. The game actually reminded me of West Brom at the Lane, except we didn't score obviously. Agree about Winks, he is making a strong case that he's one of our best XI imo.

With the forthcoming games @J.spurs I will be very disappointed if Poch doesn't give Harry W a start. Also on his Wembley and today's sub performance I think Sissoko deserves a start.

N'Koudou is an intriguing player as well, gives us something a bit different when he's on--we don't have to depend on the fullbacks to get behind the opposition (kind of like what you're saying about Sissoko). With all the games coming there will be chances for everybody that's training well I'm sure.

They did a bit of a number on us today and celebrated like they had won the league. They forced Lloris to go long and Rojo had the game of his life on Kane. I'd bet a shitload of dough we'll finish above them come May. Dembele had an off day but hey he's allowed one

Going to be honest I thought both teams looked awful today.were way below the levels of last season and a few players are badly out of form .the season has been very stop start hope we can get a good run going before we're cut adrift

The referee will likely be a very important component tomorrow....and who do we get, for United vs Spurs at Old Trafford, Bobby Fucking Madeley, that's who. He's not up to it, just not good enough on any level.

Ref was terrible

It wasnt as bad as people make out but Kane was a passenger and gave the ball away for their goal!

As for the substitutions they were shocking! The players bought on did well but it was the players he took off! How Alli played 90 mins is a mystery

Finally someone says it how it is.

I know this is an upgrade on the forum that must not be named but we are still allowed to criticise when it's due. We were second best all day. Gutted.

And yes, the ref had a stinker, but that wasn't why we lost.

Yeah I was hoping to see Alli go off for N'Koudou to be honest, but the best thing for me was the way the subs played. Sissoko ripped Darmian to pieces on several occasions, Winks looked good for me, and N'Koudou lively too. Alli was missing today, fuck knows where Kane was as he wasn't in the box when needed today.

I don't know how to sum up the feeling after that really, disappointed in the fact we had loads of the ball but didn't have many clear chances (Wanyama's header though!!!).

Look I think Ire has hit the nail on the head tbh. We haven't set the world alight and manure were pretty average today also. Having said that, all that today has done imo is put a little bit more pressure on the next 3 games, it leaves us no room really for manoeuvre if we want to stay in the hunt. Currently we're on the coattails not having played particularly well so if we can string a run of wins together between now and the new year all of a sudden we're in the mix. With the exception of the facists there is nothing to separate the next 4-5 clubs. I'm still pretty optimistic tbh but today was frustrating. They played and celebrated like it was a cup final, speaks volumes imo

Not sure mate, I reckon the only time we looked dangerous was when Sissoko came on and decided to take the direct route. Oh, and Wanyama's miss was just awful. It was harder to miss than to score that one.

As for the rest of it and our play in general this season, far too lateral for my liking. Too often we get into a counter-attacking situation and then decide to hold up play, preferring to keep possession over taking the odd risk.......risk free football is what we are playing and it is just plain boring to watch at times, not to mention completely ineffective. How many clear chances did we have last night? I can only think of the Wanyama one. The rest of them were from range, trying to beat one of the best keepers on the planet. We barely gave ourselves a chance.

The key for me is if Henrikh Mkhitaryan plays.
He`s in form & Mourinho has rightly gained confidence in him.
But if he plays, I hope Wanyama squashes him.

I didn't see the match but presume Wanyama didn't squish him early enough. lol

I'm still trying to figure out why neither Walker or Rose took a shot when they were in the box. When I was watching I thought Walker should have kept driving into the box as he had made such a well-timed run.

At least we know now that Kane won't think he's a Rooneyesque midfielder, I was watching on my phone at that point and I couldn't figure out how one of our usual midfielders could have given that ball away. Then I realised it was Kane...

The biggest thing we have going for us is that we are very hard to beat. I don't disagree that we were pretty average at OT (fuck me, you have to be average to lose to them) and as I said earlier we lacked a cutting edge, but I'm still pretty optimistic heading into the holiday season.

Got to be honest and say that I found the game really frustrating. We seemed to have as good players as them, as much of the ball as them and even looked the better team for large parts of the game, but without having that sharpness in the final third to create decent chances. I know Wanyama should have buried that header and we had a few shots here and there from Eriksen in particular, but whilst I expected us to equalise, especially after Sissoko came on (well played btw) it just never happened.

Need a good run run now, Chelsea have upped and gone at the top it seems.......for now anyway, 4th January at WHL should be good.

We probably looked no worse than Chelsea did in their game to be honest. In one of the rare instances that the game was stretched up until that point, McAuley had a brain fade and decided to instead of showing Costa the sideline, contest the ball against a faster, stronger player and go on the outside of him for some reason (it was still a great effort by Costa to score but McAuley knew he'd fucked up).

Its not that we were awful,we just were not good.So frustrating all the misplaced passes and wastefulness by most of the midfield and kane.Think Dier would have been a better option for this game,we had dembele and wanyama sitting fairly deep and yet their counters when we gave the ball away (too often) left us with two fullbacks up the pitch and no one sitting infront of toby and jan.I doubt if dier had been on the breakaway for the goal would have been so simple. When eriksen, alli and son dont click we look pretty pants, kane gets isolated and we give interceptions away far too often with little flicks.
First time in awhile I have found myself shouting at the screen in frustration, especially wanyamas header, all in all they were there for the taking and now we need to make the most of 2 home games and get our mojo back. .

It should have been a draw as neither side was that impressive, they got a chance from a mistake, it happens, we weren't thumped by the mighty United, they just got lucky and we didn't. I'm sure Kane will be blamed in other places but that would be dumb as fuck. To expect a win at old Trafford, even as shite as they have been recently is to expect too much. If someone had thumped Wanyamas header into the net we would be jizzing all over the place at the world class assist, if De Gea hadn't made a couple of saves we would be also reaching for the Kleenex, it was not pretty, but not really ugly so nothing to worry about, a nice thumping of Hull on Wednesday and we'll be ticketyboo.

We have 4 winnable games coming up with rivals playing each other ,we get max points in them we will shoot up the table while expending our points advantage on the teams chasing us .think there will be a breakaway group of 4-5 teams by Jan good chance we will be one of them

What you mean, this might have been a penalty !!! Are you really sure, it's so obvious why the ref failed to notice it
