i turned it off 3 minutes before the equaliser and turned it on 3 minutes before the winner .. hah

I'm glad we're through, sure, but I couldn't be less enthusiastic about it at the moment either. We're going to get absolutely fucking battered at the weekend if we play like we did in the first half.

Jeez, you’re easily pleased mate.
Off course, we qualified to the next stage. Makes a massive difference to the club. Also, we had so many injuries, Conte suspended, Son going off injured and a goal down.

This match was always going to be like this, if anyone thought we would go there, dominate and win easily knows fuck all about football.

In isolation I would agree with you.

But the same game played out against Bournemouth on the weekend. Bournemouth FFS.

And it's happened on almost every other occasion this season. When was the last time we actually dominated a game for more than 45 minutes?

How...?

I'll guarantee you right here and now that we will get the same tripe at the weekend and every other fucking weekend after that...!!!

The club might get a few more quid from EUFA for qualifying and a shit boat load from punters and TV broadcasters, but how the fuck has any of the CL success changed the fellas out on the pitch.

Maybe I'm a negative cunt.

Maybe I'm a realist.

Whatever.

That’s it, it massively helps the club financially. Considering all we here is “I wish Levy backs Conte”, this allows us to spend a bit more perhaps in Jan. We already saw the £150million in the summer, because we qualified for the ECL.

As for the way we play, I am indifferent at the moment, we all want to see better, but the last 2 games have shown we can…only in the 2nd half 😂😂

Against teams that aren't really very good in all honesty. Every half decent team we have run into this season has made us look ordinary. We stole points off West Ham and Chelsea, were beaten up by Arsenal and Newcastle and were not even competitive against United.

God help us when Haaland and KDB get a look at us.

We need to get Conte hopped up on Extasy and the boys will be playing attacking football in no time.

i had a bit of a celebration myself. But at the end of the day, we’re scraping out results against teams that aren’t great. It’s only been this difficult because of how we choose to play. Better to win than not, but what we’re doing is not sustainable. The good news is that we can be much better, but it remains to be seen if that will happen. As CK said, we’ve been thoroughly outplayed by all of the strong teams—and some that aren’t so strong—that we’ve played this season.

Look, we support one of the most bonkers clubs on the planet, it's forever a roller coaster, last week we score in the 95th minute and it's disallowed, this week we do it again and win the group. We look turgid in the first half and way better every second half - I don't get the tactics but they must come from Don Tony.

it's all fucking madness, a heap of injuries, Liverpool at the weekend who knows what's going to happen next. One thing is for certain it will be 'Spursy' we ain't ever getting rid of that tag sadly.

Sonny out for seven weeks after his injury. Club confirm he’s undergoing surgery for a fracture around his left eye.

Su-fuckin-perb...

To be fair he's been utter dog shit so far so time for Kulu (if he's out of the physios room) or someone else to step up.

Might also give him some heads space to dust himself.off.

at least WC will help mitigate the missed playing time
Yeah but you have to feel for him missing the WC. I remember him in tears after scoring the winner against Germany in 2018, it obviously means a lot to him.

He's spoken before about how much it means to him to play for his country so this will be devastating news for him.

It'll be interesting to see how we line up on Sunday though. With Richarlison and Kulusevski also out, will Conte finally show a bit of backbone and play Gil and Lucas alongside Kane in the usual 3-4-3 ?

Nah, he'll play Doherty up there. He'll score 5, then get taken off for Emerson and dropped for the next 4 games.

Looks like Deki might be available, if only on the bench...
