Great result, poor performance in comparison... I suppose it shows how reliant we are on that starting 11...

Richi and Kulu, while industrious still needs to do more in the GS column...

Vic, needs to be confident, but not take the piss...

Romero and VDV were fucking class as was Udogie and Poro.

Saar misplaced a lot of passes and didn't have his mate to dig him out... Hoijberg did well imo, but you can see the drop in quality compared to Biss...

Madders and Son were brilliant, as per fucking usual.

Emerson Royaldhinio is another who needs upgrading and while Skipp is tidy and i like him, he is a drop in quality. GLC, again did not do anything in his time on the field to positively effect the game... Veliz is a kid and ill give him a break... but did he even have a touch...?

Genuinely think their lad Palinhia would fit our midfield well and be an upgrade on Hoijberg/Skipp that wouldn't drop the quality significantly... weather he'd come in and be prepared to fight it out with Biss and Sarr, I don't know.

Also quite like their left back, who again would be an upgrade on Royaldhinio...

Good analysis but I probably differ on the following:

1) Romero was responsible for some really sloppy stuff when playing out. Defensively he was immense but he was extracting the urine as much as Vicario was.
2) Emerson is an excellent backup who can play a variety of roles and provides some versatility. I'd be upgrading a few before I'd even look at him.

Jolly physical chaps those cottage people. Good game, great effort and sorry Mr @The Cryptkeeper old chap, Mr Emerson is as some of the less refined gentlemen here say - a useless cunt.

With Hojbjerg's performance last night, I'd be quite happy to bench Bissouma on Friday as well, even though it would be 10 days until Chelsea after that game.

It could have the added effect of giving him a little nudge that he won't automatically walk straight back into the side as well.

I'd probably agree that he did a good enough job to not be hooked... Saar/Biss... hmmm... thats a real dificult one as Bisouma changes the dynamic massively.

And Bentancur’s imminent return is going to change things even more.

Lol, as if I forgot about him... yep maybe were golden in there for a little while... I can't wait to see how a Biss/Bentancur pairing shapes as opposed to a Biss/Sarr one. Let's hope they can all do the job (Hoijberg included) and can rotate effectively to keep us playing how we are now...

GLC looked no where able to lace Madders boots and he was my hope above hopes to give us a bit of creative back up incase Madders gets a knock. I like Solomon, maybe he could do it but I see him as more industrious as opposed to creative... we do need more creative options.
