Manager Mauricio Pochettino insists Tottenham's move to Wembley for Champions League matches will not hamper their European hopes.

Spurs host French league leaders Monaco at Wembley in their first Champions League fixture since 2011, as White Hart Lane's capacity is reduced due to work being done on a new stadium.

"We need to behave naturally and not try to find an excuse, that's never good," said Pochettino, 44.

"It's a chance to play on a big pitch."

Spurs, who have started their season with two Premier League wins and two draws, will also entertain CSKA Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen in their Champions League group.

Striker Harry Kane believes the prospect of up to 90,000 Tottenham fans in the national stadium is "only going to make you play better".

Arsenal's move to Wembley for two Champions League campaigns in 1998 and 1999 delivered just two wins from six games.

Spurs, quarter-finalists in 2011, have two pitches at their training ground with the same dimensions as Wembley, a stadium they have won just once at since it was re-opened in 2007.

"You have more space to play, it's more difficult for the opponent to press you when there are more metres to run," added Pochettino, who has never managed in the Champions League.

"We trust in us. We feel good at White Hart Lane because it's our home and we need to feel good at Wembley."

Defender Danny Rose remains sidelined with a hamstring injury but Pochettino otherwise has a full squad to choose from against a side Tottenham played twice in last season's Europa League, winning 4-1 and drawing 1-1.

Monaco will be without defender Benjamin Mendy but manager Leonardo Jardim has Radamel Falcao as a striking option as his side look for a sixth win in a row.

Jardim's side - eliminated in Champions League qualifying last season - have three wins and a draw in Ligue 1, overcoming Paris St-Germain and Lille in the process.

Referee Gianluca Rocchi and his team are from Italy. In March this year, he took charge of england's friendly in Germany, which England won 3-2 and when both Harry Kane and Eric Dier scored.

I feel the same way mate. Sat here in Crete making excuses ad to why I want to sit in a room on my own staring at a laptop instead of celebrating her grandfather's name day with all of the extended family doesn't seem to have put me in the good books. Everyone is in a mood with me now and I wish I just said fuck it and got the plane to Gatwick at 1.30 this morning like I was planning. Had enough of this place now as it is.

Anyway enough of my whinging, just got off the phone with dad driving to Wembley with spurs songs blasting on the radio. They're buzzing for this and I can't say I blame them at all. Pictures from Wembley seem amazing and I'm sure the atmosphere will be rocking in there. I don't care what these malakas (wankers) think of me I'm watching the game anyway. I got a really good feeling about the way we are gonna play today! I'm thinking we'll put a few past them and win quite convincingly. Here's hoping anyway. To anyone on here going to the game, enjoy it and sing your heartime out with pride for me please.

To dare is to do, now let's dare to do this!!!!
COYS!!!
