How about a render image of 5mins before kick off and 4,000 people trying to get on the escalator.........

Update from the club on the stadium:

Following our announcement last month concerning the dismantling of the North East corner, progress has now advanced and sections of the roof and terracing have been removed.

The latest developments can be seen in the above official images.

Over the past few weeks, works have also been taking place to complete the removal of the Tottenham & Edmonton Dispensary, The Red House and the former White Hart Public House situated on the High Road. The new stadium scheme has been designed to address crowd flow and safety issues along the High Road, which has necessitated their removal.

Prior to the demolition, key features of these buildings were removed in order that they can be retained, preserved and used within the new Club museum to be housed in the Tottenham Experience or donated to local heritage collections. These features include elements of the original Boardroom, such as the wood panelling and fireplace along with the front bay window from which famous Club celebrations onto the High Road took place. In line with this approach, the facade of the Tottenham & Edmonton Dispensary has also been retained and will form an integral part of the new Tottenham Experience.

Following the successful removal and restoration of the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Cockerel and Clock, and the careful dismantling of our famous black gates at the entrance to White Hart Lane on Bill Nicholson Way, we have adopted a similar approach here to ensure that the identified features will be able to be reinstated in the future as part of the Tottenham Experience and around the new stadium development.

The new Tottenham Experience scheme will incorporate, fully restore and bring back into use the Grade II listed Warmington House, as the centrepiece of the new Club and local area museum.

As always, we shall keep supporters updated with progress.

Current works on site can be viewed via the Stadium TV section.

Glad it's going now. White Hart Lane has been a long time dead for me and this new stadium can't come quick enough in my opinion.
I confess, hurts a bit seeing it slowly being pulled down, big part of my youth and even up til now, spent in that place.I really pray the new place isnt all souless corporate and plastic, which is how I found new wembley.
But saying that its the fans that make the club and the stadium into what we know, hope we keep it real and dont get overrun by day trip fans like man u,chelsea and arsenal. If we lose the atmosphere thats the biggest part of the day out for me

I remember, even as a young kid, being seriously underwhelmed at the 'new' West stand compared to what had been before. When the shelf went, I won't lie, I had a lump in my throat and I gave up my season ticket. Didn't go to the lane again until Sugar left. It's not the White Hart Lane I remember growing up. Atmosphere's in general have gone due to the all seating laws but hopefully the new kop stand will provide some chance to get a bit back. Hopefully I'll get a seat on it, although I'd prefer to stand.

Wow,never spoken with you about that, after the boxes on the shelf which followed the venables court case,i never renewed my membership and swore to never go again til sugar was gone, and I didnt.Meant I never saw klinsmann, teddy, ginola but the contempt that sugar showed the fans was too much for me,guy was a spiv selling knock off gear,he was no white knight who saved the club, just our own ken bates egotisitical wanker, and couldnt handle the fans adoring the players and veneables over him our Lord and saviour.FFS he appointed graham as manager, the anti-spur.

But like you I am excited over the "white wall",def where I will aim to stand!!

I have no idea how people stomached going when that gooner wanker was in charge, I really don't. Same as you bud, I missed a lot of players over the years, although it's nice to say I never saw that judas cunt play live in our shirt. I hope the kop stand gets called the shelf again.

Celtic open new safe standing section in win over Wolfsburg

_90419695_safe-standing.jpg

Fans watched from the new rail seating at Celtic Park
Celtic opened their new 2,900-capacity safe standing section in their first home game under Brendan Rodgers.

Rail seating has been installed in the north-east corner of Celtic Park and fans populated the area for Saturday's 2-1 friendly win over Wolfsburg.

The Scottish champions were granted a safe-standing licence in June last year by Glasgow City Council.

"This is another step in the redevelopment of Celtic Park," said the club.
"This is an exciting development for fans reared on the songs and stories from the old Celtic Park and the iconic Jungle. But it's also a major step forward in improving the safety and security of supporters."

Scotland is not bound by the law that banned standing areas in the top two divisions in England in 1994, following the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.

The issue about whether to allow some standing areas has been revisited since then.

Prior to the merger of the Scottish Premier League with the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Professional Football League in 2013, top-flight clubs were given the all clear to have safe-standing areas within their stadiums.

Really really hope this is a step towards safe standing in England.
