That seems a bit of a bizarre setup. Doesn't really seem much point in the seats? 1. you will be able to see bugger all if someone is standing in front and 2. if you and others were sitting you would be looking straight at the railing lol.

Seats only there because you can take a breather at half time, tbh.
It's the bars that matter.
I don't quite get the grief why Liverpool fans are so against safe standing.... I can understand, but the whole point of safe standing is the bars stop it from being possible to create enough pressure in a section to actually cause a crush.

Yeah looks like just single file rows of standing so no drama there to be had. In fact when a goals scored that would be safer. I've fell a couple of rows down a few times at WHL lol.

Short people like @*******will stand on the seats , because they have not evolved into full size people like me and are to be fair a bit neanderthal, that's not being offensive is it? It's science innit? Tall people are more evolved and advanced and their brains are better because they are at a higher altitude meaning they utilise oxygen better, that's why the Ethiopians cheat at running by coming from a high up country - science!
Anyway, the shorty, diddy, people will stand on the seats so they can see over the normal sized people like me, then everyone else will stand on the seats because we don't give a flying fuck about short people, and we deserve a better view because we are full-sized. They will lean back on the conveniently placed bars and then the stewards will go all nazi, especially that fat obnoxious cunt that used to try and stop me swearing.
I used to like the old terraces, it was like a roller coaster ride and you never had a scooby where you would end up, you just had to go with the tide, OK, there were a few minor injuries and some side effects like death, but have a look at any prescriptions your doctor tries to give you before you tell him to fuck off and shove his medication up his rectal passage (that's a medical term for arsehole) - all of them will say there is a chance you will die, so death is a very common side effect, in fact it is a nailed on guaranteed side effect that comes with living.

The last little piece of the South Stand is coming down. Not bad to have had the ground taken down in 2 months ! Thought I would be sad about it but when you see the other photos I lose that feeling

I am sad it's gone. It was iconic, increasingly so, not just for Spurs fans, but for football fans in general - ' Big European nights under the lights at the Lane' was a well known phrase and what it meant in terms of passion, quality football and atmosphere. The ground and the supporters being right 'on top of' the players was relatively unique in the premier league and intimidating for opposition teams. It worked to our advantage as was highlighted in the last season, when we were unbeaten at home.
The new stadium will of course be magnificent and grow it's own history and we need to progress, to stay as a leading club in this mad football world. The King is dead, long live the King and all that.

Look it was tragic 96 died,could have been us in many 80s grounds,however the verdict was standing/terracing had nothing to do with hillsborough,no one dares mention the Heysel word when talking about this which would be a more apt reason to fight safe standing.They stand in the kop persistantly just watch the next game at Anfield,the FA and PL clubs dont need the nod from liverpool fans,if they choose to remain all seater at anfield,go ahead,their fans all stand away from home its hypocrisy to require their tacit approval.
And you are correct it is proved that fans standing in seating areas do suffer injuries from falling over seats infront,which I guess is why the bars at such a height in the images I would think?
If you wish to stand in an approved area you have the choice to buy a "seat" there,it means people in seated areas could justifyably demand no standing in their areas,which i support as much as my right to stand in a safe standing area.

Depends if they sell out the stadium to corporate wankers and tourists. I would love to retain some of the atmosphere from the old ground, we'll see first game when someone tries to get a chorus of 'we're the Park Lane' going I guess. Fingers crossed!

One stand could potentially house all of WHL's attendance if this was green-lighted.
