On a day full of remarkable moments of solidarity, kindness, defiance and remembrance it was a sight that many could have missed.
High above a city shrouded in silence it spoke volumes about how much the day means to the people of Greater Manchester.
As the city came to a standstill for an impeccably observed minute's silence, the cranes building the shiny new parts of our city slowly turned to face Manchester Arena.
And it wasn't just Manchester. Workmen constructing a new football stadium in London also turned their cranes to the north.

Formally with fans it seems to be new white hart lane,but most are going to call it the lane.The club have said its called tottenham hotspur stadium,unless it changes with a naming rights deal.Its gone on for so long with no announcement the majority of fans have and probably will just call it the lane.The other was never officially named WHL either.

I think not, sounds like some clapped out old cinder running track or greyhound place. it's White Hart Lane if we're putting it in print and being formal or it's the Lane if not.........it might end up being called any number of things for £300m over 10 years but Tottenham Hotspur Stadium isn't one of them. Oi Levy, No.

Also it would be practial in Levy`s mind in the mean time to tie it to any new "white hart lane" station renaming,I mean the station is never going to be called "fed-ex station" lol

I believe skiathos is correct. The official name (until the big fat check rolls in) is Tottenham Hostpur Stadium. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Officially arsenal`s previous ground was officially "arsenal stadium",in my lifetime except the library it was known throughout the media,and the greater world as highbury.Levy can call it what he likes on note paper,popular usage over time will win out,merely declaring something is now called one thing wont erase over 100 years of calling it something else.

He usually is 'correct' but it isn't what the 'stadium' is, will be or has been called.
Has anyone ever called Newcastle's ground (note ground, not stadium) the Sports Direct Arena, no - it's St James Park. only grounds that have been purpose built away from their original site, have names that have stuck - Emirates, Etihad, Amex stadium, Can you imgaine ever going to Liverpool and it not being Anfield? or United and Old Trafford, Chelsea Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian national team will be The Lodge’s first guests, arriving on Monday and basing themselves at the brand new facility before departing for the World Cup in Russia on June 8.
Situated on the site of Myddelton Farm, The Lodge has been sensitively designed and furnished by F3 Architects LLP and built by Base Contracts Ltd to deliver the highest quality private accommodation and treatment facilities for our players and teams whilst retaining the farm’s key features and heritage.
Entry to The Lodge is gained through the original Farmhouse, with the reception area giving a warm and homely feel.
The Farmhouse then opens out into a light and spacious restaurant with large windows looking out to give an al fresco dining feel.
At the back of the restaurant is a large media screen equipped with games consoles and soft seating for recreation, while the original living areas can be accessed for more private meetings in a homely environment.
On the upper floor of the Farmhouse is the Myddelton Suite designed as private quarters equipped with a bedroom, bathroom and living area that includes a digital tactics board for meetings.
Across the landing is the Courtyard Room – similar quarters that overlook the original farmyard that has been redesigned as an open recreation area. On the opposite side of the Courtyard is the redeveloped Stables that also features two en suite bedrooms.
Players and backroom staff, meanwhile, will stay within a 40-bedroom, two floor, purpose-built crescent building, complete with green roof, that nestles into its natural surroundings.
Its corridors feature the inspirational Universal Game design, depicting some of the greatest goals in the history of football in a galactic style.
The rooms themselves are designed to maximise sleep, from the ultra-comfortable mattresses to lighting that automatically changes temperature depending on the time of day.
All rooms look out onto a spectacular communal garden area, equipped with a fire pit, bean bags and sun loungers that facilitates team bonding.
The Lodge’s basement is dedicated to Wellness and Recovery, with a high-quality gym that includes a first-of-its-kind flexible wall that accommodates a variety of equipment, as well as an altitude chamber, massage beds, strapping area and Doctor’s surgery.
Adjoining the gym is a large multi-purpose theatre room that can be used for team meetings, as a cinema room for recreation or as additional gym space or yoga studio, while there is also a hydrotherapy spa with both hot and cold pools for recovery.
This is all directly accessible from the bright and spacious dressing room that is curved to enable the coach to address all players.
From here, players walk upstairs to a separate boot-up area by the courtyard to prepare for training on nearby, immaculate Hotspur Way pitches specially set aside for teams staying at The Lodge.

We really are a phenomenal club, doing extraordinary things at present. It makes me very proud and I do have to acknowledge the driving force behind all of this, including identifying Pochettino, Daniel Levy. Good job, just fucked up the Season ticket pricing, for core fans, otherwise, single handedly transforming the club for the modern era. i might ache for some of the old times, like standing on the shelf, the world is changing and rather than being left behind, as we were under Sugar for so many years as Amstrad went bust, we're now the pioneers again, like we always were. Big things are coming.

Even after that cheque rolls in, it'll be known as Tottenham Hotspur stadium in certain fixtures. I believe anyone who uses a sponsor name in UEFA competitions must pay UEFA for that privilege.
Look at where Champions League games are played, compared to the real stadium names.
Juventus play at Juventus Stadium in then Champions League, rather than the Allianz Stadium
Dortmund play at BVB Dortmund Stadium, rather than Signal Iduna Park
Those noisy lot play at Woolwich Stadium, not Emptycrates.
Iirc FIFA games also have this issue. They don't have the rights or something
