I’m not so sure. As much as I hate to say it they are a very good side. And there are very fine margins for teams that play like we do. Hard to get away with inevitable mistakes when you only have the ball 30 percent of the time and create fuck all in terms of chances

Conte's now come in, the third best paid manager in the PL, has been backed in the market buying attacking players like Richarlison, Kulo, Perisic while holding on to Kane and Son...yet the only difference I see is Conte's spent alot more! Stevie Wonder could see we need 3 midfielders. Game after game we're being outnumbered and our back 3 are under constant pressure.
The red card today made no difference. We were chasing shadows for most of the day anyway. ANY decent side will pick us off with these tactics. Good sides will keep pinning us back...they won't get tired.

One, loss. Mainly due to them being our rivals, played at home and most of their players were not away internationally. At a place we never win at.
Now if you are going jump on the ‘3 midfielder’ bandwagon, conjured up by commentators and pundits because of 30 minutes against Leicester, when in fact, Son would have scored regardless of the formation. Then please deep dive into why, stop regurgitating stuff we usually here from O’hara on talk sport.

'To not lose is to do'. -doesn't have quite the same ring. How many games have we fluked that not losing position? In my opinion we have had a run of luck, you obviously disagree. I want to watch Spurs play entertaining, exciting, attacking football, not constantly backtracking, allowing the opposition as much possession as they want and all that fucking around trying to play out which 9 times out of 10 results in an aimless punt up the field, Lloris kicking the ball straight out or the ball being easily stolen from us a few yards from our own area. If you're happy with that sort of football then of course that's your right. I'm with @Dave, anybody called Dave has to be OK innit? I think it's a crock of shite and Conte is not much different from Mourinho, but he's not a cunt. FFS indeed, FFS how the fuck has the team I have loved for nearly 60 years become so fucking boring, predictable and ineffective?

It’s not like we’re piling on after a loss, or for that matter parroting Jamie O’Hara—most on here, including me, have been critical of our play all season. I like Conte the character, but at the end of the day, the football is mostly turgid and difficult to watch. Even more so, to be fair, than Conte’s teams usually are.

We have no creative midfielder or even a no. 10. The wing backs are not creating anything. Maybe time to scrap the 5 at the back and play a 4-3-3. Ideally with Skipp as the creator. It sure can't be worse. And I am ready for Maura at wing back or right back. Then at least we could reminisce about Amsterdam.

We've played 2 probable top 4/5 sides so far this season. Chelsea 2-2. A game where we were outplayed and outfought by a team without a striker. Could've been 5-2 easily. And Arsenal....who tore us a new one today. The other teams we're unbeaten against are newly promoted Forest & Fulham and badly struggling sides in Leicester and West ham, and also Wolves who are meh most of the time.
Now, let's get to the 3 midfielder bandwagoning....
We don't have any creativity in midfield...so...we have 2 defence minded players in Hojberg and Bentancur who more often than not are sideways and back passers. But because one occasionally has to get involved further up the pitch (mainly Hojberg) it leaves us open and Bentancur is no box to box hard man...so putting Bissouma in there to sit with Bentancur allows Hojberg to charge forward at will knowing that adequate cover is behind him and when we don't have it, they have more ball winners to get it back...and quickly. We're conceding possession too easily because we're not able to win the ball in midfield and then keep it, simply because of less options in that area.
But here's the biggest point of all....
I'm a lifelong Spurs fan. We have always had our way...entertaining, exciting etc...When Poch was manager...WE had the ball and WE pinned the other sides back. WE took the game to them and WE won games and were great to watch. Now, we're just not. Even a 6-2 win against Leicester didn't really have me buzzing....and it fucking should do!!
Conte SHOULD be beating the Forests, Leicester's and Southampton's of this world. Our squad has far better players and our budget dwarfs theirs so I'm not going to praise him for instigating 3 points in those games. He got his transfer wishes and kept our best players. Cant blame Levy this time (Although I do for everything else)Yes it's one loss...but honestly, as a Spurs fan, is this what i want to watch every week ? This ?
Give me an exciting Poch type side any day that might win a cup twice a decade by playing great football than watch the opposition try and break us down for 80 mins a match....fuck that.

The thing is, you can understand if it’s away to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Citeh, etc. Some games will be ugly. But we’ve sat in a low block against teams with far less quality than we have.

... and we need to scrap the no tackling until the opposition are inside our area rule, and the getting everybody back defending then booting the ball up to the invisible man who isn't there cos he's back defending, and the playing Emerson fucking Royal theory, and the tippy tappy fucking around playing out bollocks that we are no fucking good at, and passing back to Lloris (unless there are no attacking players within 100m of him). Fucking simple this football managing biz I do it from my sofa every match.

That wasn't what lost us this match mate, we would have lost if we had 13 players on the pitch - and it was a definite red in my opinion (see above for how great at football managing I am). It was a shocking tackle, nowhere near the ball and could have snapped the blokes leg, he got away with another reckless, ridiculous challenge in the first half as well. Partey's goal was a great shot but there is no fucking way he should have been allowed to shoot from there.
