Very pleased for him, but tbf it's a different level. let's hope the experience is working well and when he comes back he's the new Modric.

In today's "Not Remotely Surprised" news, the club has confirmed that Skipp is out for the season after undergoing surgery

I think this is a sensible move personally as his injury situation didn't seem to be getting any better so it's better to fix things properly and have him back fully fit and ready to go next season.

Well that's a kick in the groin. All the best to him, there will be a place ready for him next season.

Anyway, it's probably fake news. I am literally "in America" and I haven't seen him. Can @BrooklynYid, @USspur or @J.spurs confirm?

Must be serious, as it’s a pubis injury. They generally don’t recommend surgery

@NiceOneCyril, I haven't seen him but it sounds like we won't be seeing him on the pitch anytime soon. At least 6 months to recover and then, who knows? Got a bad feeling about this one.

Nah, the only way we'll know he's been to my country is if he returns to the squad next season 25 pounds heavier, carrying a Sig Sauer in a belt holster, and saddled with crippling medical debt.

Fee agreed with Leicester for £20mill.

Think that is the right level for him, been a good servant and will be remembered for that belter against Chelsea

His Professionalism and work rate can't be questioned and on his day his ability was up their with some of the best in his position. He just had too few of those days to take his game to the next level. He has been at the club from the age of 7 I think? So you can only wish the boy every success in his career from here on in.

Ironically, I think the most excited I ever was about Skipp was when he was out on loan at Norwich. He got to play allthe time, show what he was capable of, and just run, run, run.

Wish he could have take. The next step up. He was pretty good at times, but this way he will play. As he ought.

All the best to him and his new teammate Winks. I reckon they'll be tearing up the Championship next year.

He’ll walk into that side and immediately make them better, and IMO £20 million for him is a good piece of business. I think he’s definitely PL level, and I’m glad he’s going somewhere he can get playing time.

I can see him doing a bit of the rounds... Those mid level Prem clubs need a Skipp.

£20m is a snip
