Well like us (maybe because of us?) for them even with chinese owners now,its the way to go,us and they had not a lot to lose,I understand to a minor extent the reluctance of united, city, chelsea to buy and not blood youth, but in Rashford/martial/fosu mensa I dont, you can see they are good enough to get more time than any of them had.And Solanke knows the score, got out of SB soon as,doesnt look good after he got MVP of the U20 WC now.So united lost pogba and bought back at a loss of around £90m,chelsea let lukaku go and maybe about to do the same thats after they did the same with Matic (and de bruyne except he went to city in a round about way) .Patience and coaching, did no one see what happened with Bale?or do they really believe it was a god given gift?if so guess they didnt watch his first 3 years with us.
If we and or everton get success with ones of our own, maybe the outlook will change?certainly us and evertons fans appreciate "our" own lads playing,I know I do.The avb team full of so many mercenary journeymen,I ve never felt so distant from the lads playing as then,IMO the soul of a club must have some homegrown, theres more talent in doing that than spending £500m allday.
Absolutely mate! I agree as well on the point that I see why the likes of City, Utd and the Chavs don't give much game time to their youngsters. They have so much cash to burn that they don't need to sit and wait on a young player to become a regular first teamer. It's all about buying a player to go straight into the first team, I get it.
As you say, us and Everton are in a different position where we're not forced to play youngsters but our respective financial positions make it more viable as a club to blood youngsters, rather than splashing cash every transfer window on players your not sure will even make an impact, which is just not sustainable for us bottom feeders!
I absolutely love everything about our club right now, the way the club's run, the players we've blooded and the manager who's blooding them. It's inevitable, they'll come a time where we'll be blowing a £150 mill a year on players and we'll be part of the gang who gets accused of buying glory. So to win trophies now whilst doing it the right way, would be extra special for us as a club and more importantly for us fans!
