I don't know if I'm more concerned about the fact they want to change the type of supporter or that fact that they will have a cheese room. What was the point of making sure the stadium would be built to have atmosphere if they never planned on having the supporters there to begin with? They could have saved their money and built another Emirates.

"The new East Stand will have premier/hospitality so this will change the type of supporter sitting here too"

Wow!! Just wow. That's not even disappointing. It smacks of arrogance tbh.
We have always prided ourselves on being a proper club with proper club values, its one of the things that we have always been able to hold our heads high about. Its gone imo.
I honestly feel for you guys who travel the length and breadth of the country to support the team and who now have a decision to make. If I'm being brutally honest, the pricing probably doesn't affect someone like me too much as it costs me the price of a ST just to get over twice a year anyway.
The club could do the right thing and re-evaluate but I'm not sure they will. They have caved in to the corporate and NFL market. Fuckin ridiculous

I've only had an ST for one season and obviously wanted it so had a guarantee of one in the new place, but being in phase 6 (which is fair enough as the fans ahead of me deserve to be) has me worried about how many affordable for a chap like me tickets are going to be available once I get a pick. It's taken a bit of shine off things for me at the moment. If I can afford a ticket out of what's left on the 12th April then I'll do it and asses it from there towards the end of the season.

I am in same boat as you, i have (if you haven’t already heard me say it) got frustrated with process, my position in waiting list doesn’t reflect how many loyalty points i had. I dont see why it couldn’t have been done on loyalty points, i also dont see why loyalty points from bronze couldn’t have been converted. I have been going to an average of 15 games a season for last 10 years which is more than some season ticket holders

It's more than me to be fair but 10-12 games a season ain't bad from Mancland, but that's beside the point, we're willing, paying fans, who shouldn't be priced out. Was just having a look on the website and says :
We shall have approximately 39,750 existing Season Ticket holders selecting from a pool of more than 50,000 seats available within the new stadium bowl. We shall then go to our Season Ticket Waiting List to bring our total up to approximately 42,000.
This will ensure there is ample choice and availability for all throughout the renewal process irrespective of the phase a Season Ticket holder has been allocated.

Hopefully I'm just over reacting but shitting it that It'll just be too much money to justify it.

that they will have a cheese room.

I must admit, I do like a bit of cheese but I don't think that a cheese room is my primary 'room of choice' at a stadium.

I mean. A toilet is my room of choice for necessity, and if they were to have any kind of room, a chicken balti pie room, or a Nandos room probably would be my first two choices.

But that probably says more about me than it should.

At this rate they're going to have to pipe fan chants in via the PA system. I am visiting Germany at the end of the year and was considering trying to get over to England for the first time since I left home and watch a game in the new stadium but at moment I think I would rather go watch some games in Holland and Germany.

Having a look at the ticket exchange situation in that booklet and it says full face value of the ticket when sold on there. That's different than this season which was ST price divided by 19. When I let my united ticket go this season it was something like 55 quid but only got 35 from it. Pretty good if you get the full face value of the ticket for each match.

The ticket share centre is handy to for moving tickets around the likes of this forum.

Yeah my only fear there would be if Spurs still plan on adding all their fees. For someone to buy my united ticket was something around 75 quid iirc, so if we were to get full face value and then a bunch of fees a ticket could potentially cost £100.

It's about 63 quid a game if you have a 1200 quid ST.
Now for every game that is a fucking piss take.

As a once a season or fuck it if I am feeling flush as fuck 3 or 4 times... that might be considered a reasonable price to pay for the whole experience, as a treat.

That's not week in week out money though, not for me, and if wager not for many that resided at WHL.

Maybe this is the price of progress and we have to let go.

That would make GA tickets for Cat A games about £80-90.On the shelf for Cat A games was £71,park lane/Paxton about £50,west stand havent got a clue except one game the ballot put us there its not the sort of place I wish to frequent, which is my worry about the whole of NWHL.

I think the last Cat A game I paid out for was Man City a few years ago - we lost 5-1! Think it was about £40 a ticket in Paxton. Wanted my boy to experience a 'big' game atmosphere, lasted about 20minutes! When the prices started getting ludicrous as opposed to just REALLY stupid I opted for Cup ticket deals as by then I had another one getting interested in coming.

When you actually put it that way it's frigging scary. Really puts me off. I'll not be going beyond the £980 seats but that is still 52 quid a game. Wembley for me was £32.50 a game roughly.

If you put it in terms of that being car insurance or a phone bill or something going up by that much you'd be on the buzzer to a heap of other companies to get a better deal. Levy knows fine rightly Yiu can't do that with football.

I think it was 995 I paid this season, might have been 945 though, being a pot head makes it difficult to remember these details. I'm willing but not very happy about the idea of going to £1200, and find myself thinking WTF at that number, but see how I feel about the gaff after that. With the distance I live it might be better financially for me to go to 5 or 6 home games a season via a supporters club up here and ten do another 3 or 4 away up north and not bother with this expense. As long as there is one for me at or below that price I'll have and try to move the one's I can't get to on at FV and put that money away towards the following seasons ticket. We'll see though as getting ahead of myself now.

I nearly posted this earlier but deleted it for fear of sounding like a bellend...

Why doesn't levy go for 100% season tickets?

He'd have guaranteed wonga upfront and not have to manage any ticketing other than cup games reducing his overheads.

All he would then need to do is develop a ticket exchange where the season ticket holders could potentially move on their ticket with a nominal "handling fee".

It makes sense from his perspective to get as much dough as quickly as he can.

I don't think this would be good for the experience as you'd have more and more just showing up for the big games and offloading the other tickets to day fans or tourists.

But what if he did give a fuck about atmosphere (lol) and implemented a system where you needed to attend a certain number yourself to be able to retain your season ticket.

None of this does anything to reslove the issue of you all being ripped off however.

I am sure Levy would know about the stagnant inflation rates and real.worldnpay cuts we have all faced over the last decade... I would also imagine he doesn't give a fuck and this is the reason why ticket prices see a 40-65% increase.

I reckon ENIC will sell after season 1 at the new ground. All makes sense from that perspective.
I'd say its on the cards.
McCann dis the same at Celtic a few years back. Was hated by the hardcore, then built the stadium, stayed for a year or 2 then sold up. Hailed as a hero now

Your season ticket was around £620?

Mine was around 40 quid a game. I consider 50p a minute about the max I'd spend on footy. Any more than that and I might as well just start calling smutty phone lines on the same cash

I beleive a lot of ST at WHL was 795 , BUT there was no increase in the last two seasons , so like for like tickets , now being 995 sounds like a massive increase, now if Levy had added 10% each year, it would be roughly 970.
Skaithos , cat A in the West Stand tickets were 81, we only did it for Arsenal and Man U , to guarantee getting a ticket .
My biggest gripe is I can’t get a child’s ticket in the area I want, cause it’s designated for a POTENTIALLY safe standing area......why don’t they let me buy them, and IF/ When this is allowed, likely to be 5-10 years , ask me to pay up or move .
I’m in phase 5 and aim to go close to Mal , I think about 211, but will check before the 5th of April

I would imagine any blocks designated safe standing in the future would require an option to move away?also allowing moving intothe area,STs have been sold as seats thats a massive change in T&Cs should they become standing.

They technically have a seat though still in safe standing? I mean, you basically can't use it in the game, mind

Dont really know, its only what ive read over the last few years, need someone who has been to celtic or germany and experienced it.

1. Rail seats

This is the design which many supporters mean when they say safe standing. It's the design that top-flight clubs seem most likely to adopt. There is a safety barrier and a seat on every row (or two). The seats are locked into an upright position for domestic games and supporters stand between the barriers. For European games, the seats are simply unlocked.

resizedimage600337-Posh-group-in-AWD-Arena.jpg

In European countries such as Germany, Sweden and Austria, safe standing areas are permitted in top-flight football. Many grounds also host matches in UEFA/FIFA competitions when standing areas are not permitted.

A number of technologies have been developed to allow for stands to be easily converted from standing to seating and back again, where required on a temporary basis. This can happen several times a season with minimal fuss.

One version of the rail seat has a 'lock and latch' mechanism, as shown in the videos below. The key lock enables the stadium operator to lock the seat out of use, if desired, when that area of the ground is to be used for standing, while, when unlocked, the latch mechanism enables the spectator to lower and raise the seat and put it up 'on the latch' as necessary for ease of access and to pass along the row.
