having a look at trains here from Heathrow. The express to central is near 60 quid day return. Fuck that.

Am I being an idiot going.. Heathrow->hayes&harlington -> Wembley central?! It's separate tickets but comes out at 19 quid return.
Yes you are, sit on the Piccadilly line tube, with a bacon sandwich from Heathrow to Green Park, change to Jubilee North and then Met line at Baker Street to Wembley Park.

Another silly question. I can't really book that in advance what's the best way to go about it?
Do you mean getting the tube? You just buy a ticket to Wembley Park at the Heathrow tube station, what terminal are you, I'll have a look. There's human beings and ticket machines.

Terminal 5. Yeah I just always thought it was a rip off to pay at the station. If not then sack it I'll just get it there.

I used to go out with a young lady in Hayes when I was a teenager about a hundred years ago, I used to 'get on my bad motor scooter and ride' - from Sarf London, right over to the arse end of the universe. She was mental, when I annoyed her she would screech at me in a Welsh accent, when I really pissed her off she would screech in Welsh - did I mention she was a taff? It wasn't a very nice place in the 70s I expect its much nicer now.

Did you know there's a new fangled thing out these days, it's called a Tube Map and it shows you where the choochoos go.

If you buy yourself a one day off-peak Travelcard you can zoom all around London on buses, tubes and choochoos. Buy your Travelcard at Heathrow underground then - Piccadilly line to Green Park then Jubilee to Wembley Park like wot @Don Diaz said, then you can use the very same Travel card to get to your hotel - you'll need to get the underground and the ovreground: This is what is says on the Transport for London page:

Hayes.png

I think they cost £12:00 for the day - you can't use them on the Heathrow Express and other fancy services, but the Picallily line from Heathrow is OK (slow but )OK).

It's a lot quicker on the Heathrow Express, but that fucker costs £22 for an off peak single - and @Glenjamin will still have to pay for the tube to Wembley from Paddington and the tube and underground back to the hotel,, farking stitch up!

I like your style mate! Saving a quid is my favourite thing! But looking at the zones map - isn't Acton in zone 3, Rayners Lane in Zone 5 and Wembley Park in zone 4???? Am I more confused than usual? Probberly.

Confusing!

That is a real result. I just looked it up on TFL and its says £1.50 for off -peak contactless if you use the route you suggested cos it avoids zones 1 & 2. You have to touch the doodah at Rayners park to avoid being charged the full fare. That is a really good deal!!!! Well done mate you are my official hero.

When I come up to the smoke I usually get a £12 travel card for the day - what a cunt I am! Even using Zone 1, it's only £2.80 contactless each way Waterloo - Wembley. .

Mate, they couldn't make the fares more complicated if they tried. It took me about half an hour to find out what the fuckers were. That contactless trick is a real money saver, most cards are contactless these days so it's a piece of piss, there's not much point going on the round the houses routes either cos it's only £3.10 maximum from Heathrow to Wembley if you wave your contactless card - are you listening @Glenjamin. Of course saving £1.60 is what I would do because I'm a cheap cunt. Don't get pissed and forget to wave out when you leave the station or you'll get charged loads!

I’m the same mate I always get the one day pass but a Dublin yid told me to tap my debt card all it cost me was 6.80 whole day(apart from 28 quid Heathrow express) second time I did it I was rushing and forgot to tap at the end before getting back on the express train 36 fucking quid that little fuck up cost me lol

See that's where the bollocks up was for me no route finder I used gave me the option of not using that poxy express rip off piece of shit. The 1-6 zone malarchy was confusing to. I have used contactless before on the tube I was just a bit worried about zapping it around Heathrow.

Cheers @Don Diaz @Dorset @Finchbee @Thfcire .

Don is being a legend and I'll be joining up with him at Heathrow. See yas in the pub at 10.
