Not one player can be proud of their effort tonight. Vicario was ok. That’s it.

Otherwise, that was a steaming turd of a performance.

That was one of those games where you expect to find out next week that 3/4 of the squad had stomach flu or something. Just awful.

At the start of the season we knew we were going in to a big rebuild so I think, at least for me, expectations were a little tempered despite the usual feelings of wanting to win something and thinking we could easily walk the league cup :)

We're not going to win every game and we're going to have utterly shit days at the office like we did yesterday but it's all the more frustrating after last week's game against Villa and the fact we can't put it right for another couple of weeks.

Don't mind loosing mate... We didn't try to win, we were second best all over the park.

At least West Ham are putting in far more effort than we are in making sure we get Champions League football next season.

Yep, we've given other teams the ability to affect our outcomes....

I know we have no devine right to win every game... But they out played us all over the park.

We looked leggy and out of ideas.

Yes, but my god they are dire to watch. And they just conceded.

It was a weak performance. I still remember Winks scoring the winner there under Pochettino. You can't tell me our team now is worse than that one quality wise. Timo misses a sitter as always. Son and Johnson angry at him but it isn't like they did any better. Missing VdV and can see why Dragusin doesn't start.

Honestly maybe we missed a trick with Richarlison on the bench. He gives a bit of fight and bite. He probably finishes Timo's chance as well. But Fulham played well and were in form with their new stand. Muniz looks a player, maybe we should sign him instead. Or Solanke if we don't fancy Toney.

It's the first game we didn't score in but Ange said it right post match. We lacked the intensity required throughout most of the second half.

If he finishes 5th it is still one better than what I thought was possible at the start of the season, even before we sold Kane, and it may still be good enough for Champions League. It's just always a bit concerning when I feel I may as well be on the pitch instead of any of them really and even I couldn't be fucked playing. Not saying I could do better than Timo or Richarlison etc., just saying I couldn't have done worse than any of them on Saturday.

It reminded me a bit of Newcastle away last season actually. Not enough fight and in need of a 4am ice bath.

Effort was shocking and I hope Kulu doesn’t play on the wing again

Johnson on right and Werner on left in future

There seemed to be an almost immediate response once Ange made some changes. Werner was a bit of a spark. Two quick chances in succession by Werner & Johnson but also shocking misses. IIRC, one would have been deemed offside if we scored.

Everyone - including the gaffer, including the captain - is saying this loss was due to a lack of effort. That would be shocking (as was the result),but I didn't see a lack of effort, more a lack of quality.

Still terrible, but why is it easier to say "We didn't try hard enough" than to say "We weren't good enough"? I suppose you can fix a lack of effort but shite passes are shite passes.

Looked like a lack of both to me

A bad day at the office for both team and manager

Bisouma needs to sit a few out...

Rodrigo looked way more progressive and on the half turn in comparison.

Agreed. No surprise when the entire midfield was substituted. To be precise, I was surprised, just that it didn't happen immediately after the second goal.
