My fcuking stream kept popping in and out so I binned it early on second half.

Great result a dominant performance but we need to start converting our chances.

The moose is such an important player for us.

On another day could have been 5-0 or worse, only real worry is the injuries. Though, might be argued that minor injuries that force Poch to sit Kane and Dier for a game or so might be good in the long run.

Played really well today and should have had many more. Son is starting to look like the guy the we paid a lot of money for which is good to see.

On a different note, Sunderland spent a lot of time in the window looking for another keeper, but they have a very good one in Pickford IMO.

Dominated on performance from the off today, a bit concerned that we may have picked up an injury or few though.

Pochettino has mixed things around quite a bit this season which I think he needs to do to utilise a very balanced squad to take on PL, CL and the domestic cups.

Prior to this match, we have started slowly in matches but Pochettino each time has changed things around and improved our play in game, so much for the naysayers saying he doesn't have a plan B like they droned on about a year ago.

Gillingham next, will be interesting to see who gets an opportunity. Janssen could do with 90 minutes, Vorm deserves another game and then there is Carter-Vickers, Walker-Peters, Winks , Onomah, Edwards, Nkoudo oh and the mysterious disappearance of Kevin Wimmer may be solved too.

Sonny was in beast mode down that left side today...I agree with @Liam ... it was great to see him being so effective; width of a post denied him a first half goal, for sure. Hopefully the injuries to Kane and Dier are minor and that there is nothing at all with Walker's hammy. Like the Monaco match, another one where the scoreline could easily have been lopsided in our favor. Oh, the poor opponent (Arsenal and/or Chelsea would be nice) who gets blasted by one of our 9-0 scorelines. We've got that potential -- it's going to happen!

Apparently it was Jason Denayer himself who informed Patrick van Aanholt that he was not playing today,

I really hope he said: " Oi! Patrick! You've been Denied!"

I thought we played really well, on another day the scoreline could have been a lot higher. I don't think anyone predicted that lineup, but it's good to see us mixing it up. Anyone know how bad the injuries are?

Sounds like Dier and Dembele may just have been cramping and it looks like Walker was having the same issue. Kane could easily be out for a couple of months - hopefully because he's young and seems reasonably resilient it's not that bad.

It was in short, just one of those frustrating games. We've seen so many at the Lane over the years where the opposition just come and pack the defence, which we, as do many others find difficult to break down. Their goalkeeper also had a great day, again as we've seen before, with several opposition keepers, I remember Tim Krul for Newcastle especially one year.

But we won and there were a lot of positives - the new additions of Wanyama, Sissoko and Janssen in key positions have given us more quality strength in depth, and leave us less vulnerable to injuries. Dier's versatility is also a massive bonus.

We created an awful lot of chances that on another day would have resulted in a lot of goals.

Son was my man of the match, it has taken him a season to really gel and based on his performances against Stoke and yesterday, he could have a very good season. Mousa looked great on his return.

We know have a real opportunity to 'rest' or give players a kick up the bum if they are not performing - Eriksen (who played well at Stoke) and Lamela yesterday for example.

I think my only slight concern was the niggles we picked up and the potential fatigue towards the end of the game when Sunderland gave it a go for 10 minutes. This is probably a result of playing at Wembley on Wednesday, a notoriously tiring pitch. Poch will have to work out a plan for that...I'm sure he will.

So we're third in the league, with 11 points, above Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United. This time last year having played a similar spread of games in terms of opposition, we were 12th with 6 points......what's not to like?? early days but we're up there again, with a stronger squad and winning games rather than drawing them. Poch will need a few more weeks to work out his best team and then we'll be ready for an assault on the top places.

Happy days....although you'd never know if you looked at some other forums!! Ha ha ha.

I've seen that game plenty of times before and we've been done 1-0 so to win 1-0 suits me fine. I'm probably in the minority who aren't worried or going batshit over Janssen's miss. He's barely had a sniff so far, he's bound to be selfish, bound to be trying to hard and bound to be snatching at things. Hopefully now he gets a start he'll relax and we'll see some goals. I'm not going all Soldado on him after one miss. COYS

He's a striker so it's only natural for him to be hungry at a new club, and looking to prove himself. A few goals against Gillingham could do him very good before the game away to Boro.
