Not only was Kane the Golden Bootist, we had the highest 2nd and 3rd scorers in the PL last year with Ali and Son, 32 goals between them, most other clubs were nowhere near that. Dele was 6th top in the PL with 18 ,just 2 short of City's top bloke Ageuro, 5 better than the Dippers joint top scorers, 1 better than Zlatan, United's top scorer - so I think we could say he was a striker even if we don't call him a forward.
Bootist isn't even a word, thus rendering your entire argument null and void.

I went for Other.

I think we may need an upgrade in our strength in depth all over the park to get closer to the 12-13 first teamers we have. We all know who the best players in the team are but last year we were just ravaged with injuries all over the season (and yet we managed 2nd) and who is not to to say it won't happen again.

Right now, with both Son and Lamela's return dates looking a little far off into the distance and with Rose out for quite a while to come I think squad depth would really help us out, getting as many points in the early doors of the season will help us big time with the run in towards the end of the season. I for one think this will be an interesting season for the fans and the players...

Yeah it sounds like we're interested in Ricardo Perrera or Serge Aurier either sound like they'd be a good addition. I'd like us to use the spare cash on Kovscic from Real Madrid if he's available too.
Serge Aurier has signed for us and has agreed personal terms. It might be complicated by a fight with a policeman

ITK... is... wrong!!?
Nooooooooo! Don't say that, it can't be wrong, you'll be saying that all that Brexit stuff was not true and the FLA organisers are right wing extremist thugs next. How can stuff on the Internet be wrong if it says what people want it to say? It must be true!

Don't matter really because the sheeple will beleive any old shit.

Well with not long left at all in the transfer window I thought I'd bump this thread.

The majority voted for our top priority to be a creative midfielder. So far we haven't brought anyone in yet in those role but we have been heavily linked with a few wingers/CAMs. With Poch saying he still wants 3 more and assuming Foyth and a RB are two of them I still believe that the 3rd will be, hopefully, a creative midfielder.

My concern is that with N'Koudou and Sissoko both strongly linked to leave on loan deals that even bringing in one new player won't be sufficient and we've left ourselves short?

Assuming those 2 do leave on loan, it leaves us with Alli, Eriksen, Son and Lamela. The first 3 are starting XI and as much as I see other fans saying Lamela will be like having a new player I can't help but wonder whether he will be the same as he was having been so long out the game.. He's still not fit as it is. Say Barkley was to be the chosen signing does that mean we go however long till him or Lamela are fit without any attacking options on the bench other than Janssen?

What my long winded essay is trying to say is I think letting N'Koudou go out on loan is a mistake. Whilst he hasn't exactly done anything to warrant a lot of game time based on performances thus far for us, I believe he offers an option that nobody else in our squad does.. And if we miss out on buying a creative midfielder all together and Sissoko/N'Koudou do go out on loan will be massively lacking any kind of magic or options to change a game from the bench. This will be the difference in so many matches between a draw and a win.

I'd like us to get another attacking mid type player but Barclay is injured so likely off the cards as not much point paying for him if he's not gonna be fit until January as can buy him for less then. Also with us signing Sanchez I'd imagine Poch would use a back 3 more often which usually has us playing with Alli and Eriksen behind kane so would leave son as an option from the bench. Whilst I like 3 at the back I also like 3 behind the striker with Son being one of them.

Chavs and Dippers now seriously looking at Barclay.

Well if that's the case and they offer proper wages... we're fucked.

..or dodged a bullet? I reckon he 'could' be made into a top player, but only under the Poch, if he is a silly boy with no ambition and goes to the chavs then he'll just be average, maybe that and £150k per week is good enough for him, if so then he can swivel on a swivelly thing.

Nah.....and this is only according to the press, but if he wanted £120k+ a week and Everton wanted £50m+ he's just not worth that at the moment. He's not a game changer, he can't even get in the England team regularly. He needs to either have a slice of humble pie and become a great player or just take the cash and be average at Chelsea or somewhere else. He's not a Spurs player for me, attitude doesn't seem right and these sums being mentioned would bust the dressing room.

Not interested in Ross Barkley unless he wants to come to us and do the work.
