Vusalavic, Gray, both very good options... Danso was a panic buy, and Davies is a loyal and decent back up option...

Id love vusalavic.. and id like to see Gray further forward.. I'm all for loyalty, but some of the old heads are old

I think Davies when called upon this season has looked no worse that anyone... I know that's not a high bar but he's done a decent job as a 3rd or 4th choice...

Danso is not long for these shores...

He looked no worse than 14th in the league

1-1 is still do-able but we need to be better than this. I'd be looking at resting more than a few players on Sunday as well as next week is far more important.

You know he won't, but still ..

Decent result and more than decent performance but what I dont understand is why doesn't Gray start ? Why didn't Spence start ? 2 out our best three performers this season on the bench ? This is the biggest game of the season.
We were unlucky we didn't take an advantage but just think we need someone like Gray instead of Maddison with Bentancur and Bergvall for the second leg. A bit more solid in there. We're constantly getting played through far too easy.
We can win over there but not with that midfield.
I'd also give Odobert the nod over Sonny but that won't happen....

He rested players before this game, so he may do the same.

His treatment of Gray is rather mystifying. I get that the whole squad is now fit and available but i don't get relegating Gray back to the bench and his apparent status as just a squad player.

I know Bentancur was decent tonight but imagine how good a midfield pairing of Bergvall and Gray would be ?

Yep. Think they'd compliment each other well. Energy from Bergvall and composure and a good reader in Gray. That was Bentancur's best performance this season but next season I'd be urging DL to spend on getting a top class ball player in to play with the two lads.

Udogie did OK but Spence made an immediate impact by getting to the byline & cutting back for BJ to unfortunately sky it. We need Spence to be given the opportunity to provide more of that in the 2nd leg.

Maybe add Johnny Cardoso

On any other day we’d be heading to Frankfurt with a 2 or 3 goal advantage.

Excellent match, but we have a hill to climb next week.

Enjoyed that one a lot, though it was very frustrating. Occasion aside, it was just fun to see us have a real go at a team for the first time in months. I agree about starting Gray over Maddison, and we have something special in Bergvall. Wouldn’t even begin to guess what the return leg will be like.

That game showed the worst and best of what we can do...

We were clueless in midfield for massive stretches of the first half and then it clicked for a little while and looked OK.

Romero was his lazy weird "hardman without a cause" main character again... The guy comes off as an entitled bellend, and not that bright.

VDV... Doing VDV things... Fuck me he is without doubt the best and highest potential player in our squad... He could easily be snapped up by any moneybags club over the next few years... He is devastatingly good.

Solanke, had maybe one of his best games for us... And was still shite overall. He isn't strong enough, quick enough and doesn't score enough... Bringing Richie on late just made me shake my head thinking about days gone by when we had serious forward players.

Sonny has got PTSD or some shit like that about committing his man... It's almost funny now.

We dragged our arses out the fire and were unlucky not to get a win in the end.

It'll be a super tough gig at theirs and we will need to be better or luckier than last night to win.

I'm not Ange out, but he needs to get a fucking tune out of his squad now or I very much will start to swing to that persuasion... He has almost a full squad and we shouldn't be making the same shitty mistakes over and over again if his coaching is effective... I want him and all the others I've just slagged off to be what they promised to be, including the enigma Johnson... But if they can't be, at this level, it's as fucking simple as that... Change something in order to move forwards...

Oh and Levy is a cunt...
